Control panel features ! WIRELESS 1 On button and light: Turns the product on or off. When the product is off, a minimal amount of power is still used. To completely remove power, turn off the pro duct, then unplug the power cord. 2 Cancel : Stops the current operation.
Status Lights When the produ ct is turned on, the on bu tton light will be lit. When the prod uct is processing a job, the on light wi ll be blinki ng. Additiona l blinking light s signal errors that you can resolve. Se e below to learn about blinking li ghts and what t o do.

Select the appropriate options. •O n Layout tab select Portrait or Landscape orientation. •O n Paper/Quality tab select the app ropriate paper size and paper type from the Paper Size and Media drop-down l ists. • Click Advanced to select the appro priate output quali ty from the Printer Features list.
5. Click the button t hat opens the Pro perties dialog box. Depending on your sof tware application, this button mig ht be called Pro perties , Options , Printer Setup , Printer , or Prefer ences . 6. Select the appropriate opt ions. •O n Layout tab select Portrait or Landsca pe orientatio n.

Paper loa ding tips • Load a stack of paper (not just one page). All o f the paper in the st ack should be the same size and type to avoid a p aper jam. • Load paper with side to be printed on facing u p. • Ensure that paper loaded in the input tray lays flat and the edg es are not bent or torn.
• You can print your d ocument on both side s of the paper, inste ad of just one si de. NOTE: Click the Ad vanced button on the Paper/ Quality or Layou t tab.
4 Paper basics You can load many differen t types and sizes of paper in the HP All-in-One, includin g letter or A4 paper, p hoto paper, transpa rencies, and envel opes.
HP Brochure Paper or HP Sup erior Inkjet Paper These papers are glossy-coated or matte-coat ed on both sides fo r two-sided use. They are the perfect choice for near-photograp hic reproductio ns and business graphi cs for report covers, spe cial presentations, brochures, mailers, and calendars.

NOTE: If the photo paper you are using ha s perforated ta bs, load photo paper so that tabs are on top.
Load envelope s a . Raise the input t ray ❑ Raise the inpu t tray. b . Lower the output t ray ❑ Lower the output t ray and pull out the tray extender.
❑ Remove all paper from the main input tra y. d . Load envelopes. ❑ Insert one or mo re envelopes int o far-right side of the input tray. The side to be printed on sho uld face up. The flap should be on t he left side an d facing down. ❑ Slide stack of envel opes down un til it stops.

Scan to a computer • If your computer is conn ected to the printer wit h a USB cable you can quickly scan a photo using the scan button. Pressing the scan button wi ll automatica lly save the image in a phot o format to your com puter.

Tips for copy and scan success • Load your original prin t side down on the right front corner of the glas s. • If your computer is connected to the printer with a USB cab le, just press the scan button on the pri nter to begin scanning. See Scan to a computer for more information.

Order ink supplies Before ordering cartridges , locate the correct cartridge num ber. Locate the cartridge number on the printer ▲ The cartridge n umber is located insid e the cartridge door. Replace the cartridges To replace the cartri dges 1. Check power. 2. Load paper. 3. Remove cartridge. a . Open cartridge door. Wait for print carriage to move to center of the product .
4. Insert new cartridge. a . Remove cartridge from packaging. b . Remove plastic t ape using pink pull t ab. c . Slide cartridge into slot until it clicks into place.

7 Connectivity Add the HP All-in-One to a network • WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) • Traditional Wirel ess Connection • USB Connection WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) To connect the H P All-in-One to a wire less network u sing WiFi Prot ected Setup (WPS), you will need t he followin g: ❑ A wireless 802.
❑ Enter the PIN on WPS-en abled router o r other ne tworking device. ❑ Follow the on-screen inst ructions on the printer disp lay. NOTE: The product begins a timer for approximately tw o minutes in which t he PIN needs to be en tered on the networkin g device.
Tips for setting up and using a networked printer Use the following tips to set up and use a n etworked printer: • When setting up t he wireless net worked printer, m ake sure your wireless ro uter or access point is powered on. Th e printer searches for wirele ss routers, then li sts the detected net work names on the computer.

5. Print a diagnostics page if the cartridges are not l ow on ink. To print a diagnos tics page a . Load letter or A4 unused plain white pa per into the inp ut tray. b . In the Prin ter Software , click Printer Actions and th en click Maintenence Tasks to access the Printer Toolbox .
Clear a paper jam Clear a paper jam. To clear a paper jam 1. Press the cancel button to try to clear the jam automatically . If this does not wo rk, the paper jam will need to be cleare d manually. 2. Locate the paper jam Input tray If the paper jam is loca ted near the back input tra y, pull the paper ge ntly out of the input tray.
Inside of prin ter • If the pape r jam is located insid e the printer, open the cleanout doo r located on the bottom of th e printer. Press tabs on both sid es of the cleanout door. • Remove j ammed paper. • Close the clean out door. Gently pu sh the door towards the printer until b oth latches sn ap into place.
Unable to print Make sure that the printer is turned on and that there is paper in the tray. If you are stil l unable to print, try the following in order: 1. Check for error messages and resolve. 2. Disconnect and recon nect the U SB cable. 3. Verify that the pro duct is not pa used or offlin e.
