4 T o install a ceiling fan, b e sure you can do the following: • Lo cate the c eiling joist or other sui table supp ort in ceiling . • Drill ho les for and install woo d screws.

6 3 • A s s e m b l i n g a n d H a n g i n g t h e F a n Steps 3-4 – 3-5 Low Profile W asher Y ou can ass emble your fan for standard mounting (st eps 3-1 – 3-2) or for low profile mounting (st eps 3-3 – 3-5). 3-1. T o a ssemble fan to hang down from a flat or angled ceiling , insert the downrod through the canopy and canopy trim ring.

W all switches are not inc luded. S elect an acceptable general-use switch in accordanc e with nat io nal and local elec trical codes.

13 Problem: No thing happens; f an does no t move. 1. T urn power on, replace fuse, or reset breaker . 2. Loos en canopy , check all connec tions acc o r ding to the wiring t he fan se ction. 3. Check the plug connection in the switch housing. 4. Push motor r eversing switc h fir mly left or right to e nsure t hat the switc h is engaged.
