13 FUEL HANDLING Fu el safety Nev er s tart the mac hine: 1. If y ou hav e s pilled f uel on it. Wipe off the spi llage and allow remai ning fuel t o ev apo- rate. 2. If y ou hav e s pilled f uel on y ours elf or y our clo thes , c hange your c lothes .

18 WORKING TECHNIQUES Clear ing S The c learing tec hnique remov es all un- wanted v egetation. Keep the tr immer head just abov e the ground and tilt it. Let the end of the trimmer line st rik e the ground around trees , pos ts, s tatues and the lik e.
19 WORKING TECHNIQUES Sweepi ng S The fan effect of t he rotating line c an be used f or quic k and easy c learing up. Hold the t rimmer line parallel to and above t he area to be s w ept and move the tool to and fr o. S When cut ting and s weeping y ou s hould use full t hrottle to obtain the bes t res ults.
