When the traction drive lever is engaged the machine will immediately move forward. W ARNING: Attach the grass catch er prior to starting the engine to prevent injury .

111132_0409 4-3 General engine maintenance Detailed instructions and r ecommendations fo r break-in and regular maintenance are specified in the Engine Owner ’ s manual. Please refer to this manual for engine servicing, lubricating oil levels wit h quality and viscosity recommendations, bolt to rques, etc.

111132_0409 4-5 1. Locate the height of cut bar and loosen the locknut. Adjust the screw to the desired height of cut by measuring the distance between the top of the HOC bar and the bottom of the screw head as show n. (Fig. 4 -1 1 & Fig. 4-12) Once adjusted , tighten the lock nut.
4-6 111132_0409 W ARNING: Apply abrasive to the reel blade with a brush, not your fingers. Never use a short handle brush to apply backlapping co mpound. Be sure to coat the reel with backlapping compound using a brush with an extension handle of at least 16 inches (40.
