Chapter 1 Basics 4 Importing content s wit hout DRM From a computer The e- reader supports the U S B Mass Storage Device function. It can be accessed like a removable USB drive in a computer's file manager. To import contents (ebooks, pictures etc) onto the e- reader , connect the e- reader to a co mputer via the supplied USB cable.
Chapter 1 Basics 5 When the card is inserted or removed, it will take several seconds to load. Please avoid ins erting or ejecting the card when other operations are running as t his m ay cause the system to hang. Do not re move the card if the content inside the car d i s being played.

Chapter 1 Basics 7 Transferring DR M ebooks to Th e e-reader In the ADE m enu, click on [All Items] on t he left hand column. Items in [My Digital Editions] will be list ed in the right window . Select the desired it em(s) to be transferred, <Shift> + <Left click> to select multiple files.

Chapter 1 Basics 11 Main menu Press the Directiona l buttons to se lect the desired item, then press the Enter bu tton to open the item. To exit, press the Ret urn button. To open the book library: all ebooks stored on your device To open the Boo kmarks list.

To enter tex t, press the directional button to sele ct an input method, and pre ss the Enter butto n at the panel, then use the directional bu ttons to select th e text onscreen keyboard, then press the Enter bu tton at the panel.

Chapter 2 Gettin g Started 15 Reading eboo ks Books transferred to the e- reader will be saved in the device. The e- reader supports ebooks in t he following for mats: txt,pdf,epub,pdb, fb2,html, rtf,mobi,do c,docx,djvu,zip.

To turn to previous page , press Previous Page / Dire ctional-Left button. Using the Options Menu while Reading While reading a page, press the M enu button t o display the options menu screen.

The ic on will appe ar on the top right corn er, indicating this page was bookmarked . Bookmarks In the options menu , select Bookmarks to enter the Bookmark List of the current bo ok.
Chapter 2 Gettin g Started 18 Font In the options menu , sele ct Font to set t he font type of the currently opened ebook. Options available: Arial, Times, Verda na . Select the desired option, then press t he Done button to confirm. Line Spacing In the options m enu, s elect Line Spac ing to set li ne spacing .
Chapter 2 Gettin g Started 19 A uto Flip In the options m enu, select A uto Flip to set A uto Flip mode. The auto flip duration available are: Of f, 1 Minute , 2 Minutes, 3 Minute s, 4 Minutes, 5 Minutes. Select the desired option, then press the Enter button to confirm.

Press the D irectional-up/do wn buttons to scroll thr ough the song list. Press the Menu bu tton to di splay the options menu to sort the song lis t or search the de sired song.

In full screen mode, pres s the Directional buttons / Previous/next page buttons to view previous and next picture.

Press the Previous /next page buttons to turn pages. Using the opt ions menu On file list screen , pr ess the Menu but ton to open t he options menu.

Chapter 3 Settings 29 Power Settings To enable/di sable auto power off/ sleep m ode; you can also set the t ime for the auto power off/sleep m ode to go into effect. Date & Time To set the clock and date, ti me. Press the Directional- left/right bu tton to move the cur sor.
Chapter 3 Settings 30 Wi -Fi settings The Wi-Fi setting s allow you mana ge wireless networks. Turning on Wi -Fi: I n the main menu choose Settings Wi -Fi Setting Wi - Fi , Then “ √ ” w ill appear next to Wi - Fi when you have turned on the Wi-Fi.
Chapter 4 Troubleshooting 31 The e-reader is n ot responding or ca n’t be turned on. Reset the e- reader by pressing the Reset button at the back of the unit's housing . The e- reader will be forced to shut down if it is on and you are require d to restart the e- reader .
Chapter 4 Troubleshooting 32 disconnect the data connection w ith the computer. After the e- reader is safely r emoved , the computer w ill only charge the e- reader and you can now resume normal operation.
Maintenance If the e- reader does get w et, turn off the e- reader immediately. Wait for the e- reader to dry completely before turning on aga in. Clean the screen w ith a soft cloth; be careful not to wipe it w ith anything abrasive. W hen carrying yo ur e- reader in a bag, keep the e- reader in a protecting case to avoid s cratches.
