7 Unpac king Remov e all packaging before positioning the appliance. Remov e the tr anspor t suppor ts placed along the door sides. Some models are fitted with a silencing pa d under the freezer .
8 Door Re v ersal 1. Close the freezer and remov e t he plug from the electrical sock et. 2. Remov e the ventilation grill. There is a par t on the grill that can be remov ed. Remov e and reposition it on the other side. 3. Put the fridge on a wood en board when it is laid down.
9 Clima te clas sific ation The freezer be placed in a location where the ambient temperature correspond s to the climate classification*, fo r which t he product is de signe d. * See on the r ating plate on the inside of the appliance . The following ta ble shows which ambient temperature is correct f or ea ch climate clas sifica tion.

12 T o star t the freez er a nd setting the correct temperature Switc hing on: Switch on the freezer by pressing the pow er switch. The alarm sounds if the temperature inside the freezer reac hes room temperature. T ur n off the alarm by pressing the switch-off button.
13 Te m p e r a t u r e a l a r m If the temperature rises above -12°C , the red warning lamp flashes you will hear and an audible alarm sounds. The temperature displa y will then star t t o flash. T o switch off the alarm: Press the alarm shut-off button to switch off t he audible alarm.
14 Pr actical advic e on freezing D When f reezing produc ts, use the top shelves. - When freezing large amounts of f ood/pr ovisi ons, the accumulator mov es to on top of the f ood. - Do not cover the air hole on the rear wall. D Spread out the pr oducts as muc h as possible to allow air to circulate betw een them.
15 F ood St orag e Hints & Tips on Freezing D Av oid buying frozen f ood if yo u can not store it straight awa y . The use of an insulated container is advisable.

Don't use detergents, abr asiv e powders, high perf umed cleaning products, wax polishes or cleaning products containing bleach or alcohol w hen cleaning the product Dis connec t the appliance f rom elec tricit y supply .

A pulsing sound is heard when coolant is pumped inside the cooling pipes. A ticking sound f rom the thermostat can be heard when the compressor switches on a nd off.
