2 Impor tant saf ety information Installation This appliance is hea vy . Care should be tak en when moving it. Check your Fr eezer for any transport damage . Do not connect the appliance if ther e is damaged. If the Freezer is damaged, you should contact the J ohn Lewis branch from which y ou purchased it.

Do not install the appliance close to sour ces of heat such as a boiler or radiator . locate the appliance in a w ell ventilated r oom and make sure that an y air openings of the appliance are not obstructed.

7 The appliance should be deliv ered in its original packaging; the a ppliance must alwa ys be kept in a vertical position as indicated by the warnings on the packaging. After each transportation the appliance must not be switched on for a ppro ximately 2 hours.
8 Door Re versal If requir ed the door can be rev ersed, hinged from the left, opening from the right. T o rev erse the bottom hinge assembly pr oceed as follows: Disconnect the appliance fr om the electricity supply . Tilt the appliance backwards, resting the top edge of the appliance on a stool or something similar .
9 Any electrical w ork required to install this a ppliance should be carried out by a qualif ied electrician or competent person. W ARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED . Should the appliance po wer supply cab le need to be replaced, this must be carried out by a Service F orce a gent (see pag e 17).
10 When the fr eez er is first installed General information This appliance is designed for the fr eezing and storage of fr ozen food in a domestic home. T o ensure corr ect operation, the appliance should be located where the ambient temperatur e is between 16-32 °C .

12 Note: The acoustic alarm will stop: when the quick freeze function is s witched on (by pressing the "Quick freeze on/off s witch") F r eezing Prepar e the various foods pr operly and then fr eeze them alwa ys in the freezing compartment.
13 Normal Operating Sounds Y ou ma y hear faint gurgling or bubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped thr ough the coils or tubing. When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped round and y ou will hear a whirring sound or pulsating noise from the compr essor .
14 F oods -18°C V egetab les: green beans, green peas, mixed v egetables, marro w , corn, etc. 12 months Ready-cook ed foods: vegetable dish, trimmings, with meat, etc.
15 Maintenance and Cleaning Long-term abscence If you do not use the pr oduct for long periods, make sure to perf orm the following: Set the thermostat to position << >>. Disconnect the pr oduct from the mains. Remov e all foods from the pr oduct.
