12 EN INST ALLING Y OUR NEW VCR Basic Connections It’ s essential that y our VCR be properly connected. A Check the contents. Make sure the pac kage contains all of the accessories listed in “SPECIFIC A TIONS” on page 82. B Situate the VCR. Place the VCR on a stable, horizontal surface.

EN 31 Manual T racking Y our VCR is equipped with automatic tracking control. During pla yback, y ou can override this and adjust the trac king manually by pressing the CH buttons. 1 Override automatic tracking. Press p on the Remote. 2 Adjust the tracking manually .

EN 33 Elapsed Recording T ime Indication 1 Set the counter display . Press DISPLA Y/OSD until a counter reading appears on the front displa y panel. 2 Reset the counter . Press C.RESET before starting recording or pla yback. ● T he counter is reset to “0:00:00” and shows the exact elapsed time as the tape runs.

66 EN REMO TE CONTROL FUNCTIONS Remote A/B Code Switching T his Remote is capable of transmitting two control codes; one set to respond to A code control signals and another set to respond to B code control signals. T his Remote control is preset to send A code signals because your VCR is initially set to respond to A code signals.
