Recor d ing Accidental erasur e prev ention T o prevent accidental reco rding on a recorded cassette, remove its record safety tab. T o reco rd on it later , cover the hole with adhesive tape. Basic Recording A Load a casse tte Make sure the record safety tab is intact.
Timer Recor ding Up to 8 time r recording programs ca n be made using G- CODE / S HOW V IE W timer programing or Express timer programin g method as far as a year in adv ance. Remembe r , the clock must be set before you can program the timer . NOTES: ● If all the 8 programs have already been set, “PROGRAM FULL” appears on the TV scree n.
Express T imer Programing ● Remember , the clock must be set before you can program the timer . ● Load a cassette with the record safety tab intact. The recorder turns on, and the counter is reset, automa tically. ● Select the app ropriate colou r system with “ PA L / M E S E CA M ” and “ NTSC ” in Function settings.
Other Functions Checking tape position When you change the recorde r operation mode from the st op mode to fast forward or rewind mod e, or when you pe rform an Index Search or Instant Revie w, the tape position indicator appears.
䡵 AUTO SP ] LP TIMER — ON / OFF When this function i s set to “ ON ” , the recor der automatically switches to LP mode to allow complete recording if there is not enough tape to record the en tire program while timer -recording in SP mode. Fo r Example, Recordin g a P AL-broadcast programme of 210 minutes in length ont o a 180-minute tape.
Changing Remote Control Code T his remote control is capable of transmitting two control codes; one set to respond to A cod e control signals and anothe r set to respond to B cod e control signals. This remote control is preset to send A code signals b ecause your recorder is initi ally set to respond to A code signals.
Inf ormation on Multi-System Compatibility Off-Air Recording T he built-in multi-syste m tuner is capable of rec eiving P A L B/G, I and D/K, and SEC AM B/G and D/K and NTSC* broadca sts. Playback T his recorder can play bac k all 3 types of recorded tape.
T ape-T o-T ape Editing T here are 4 different types of recorded tape, depending on the sign al recorded. Tu n e r S e t t i n g IMPORT ANT P erform the following steps only if auto channel set has not been set correctly by Auto Set Up function or if you have moved to a different area or if a new sta tion starts broadcasting in your area.
