ENGLISH - 1 - For your safety This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety stan- dards but, like any electrical equipment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and safety is to be assured. So, please read the points below for your own safety .

ENGLISH - 7 - Using the stand This TV comes with a T able T op S tand already att ached. This stand can be used to adjust the direction of the TV screen.
ENGLISH - 8 - Remove the terminal cover There are connection terminals behind the covers of the rear of the T V . Remove the cover before connecting an antenna, DVD or VCR. Remove the covers by removing the hooks. When replacing the covers, place the side or bottom of the covers against the TV and insert the hooks.
ENGLISH - 9 - Installing TV on the wall W ARNING When you install the TV on the wall, only use a JVC wall mounting unit (optional) which is designed for this TV .
ENGLISH - 1 0 - Preparation Install Display on solid horizontal surface such as a table or desk. For ventilation, leave a space of at least 10 cm free all around the set. T o prevent any fault and unsafe situations, please do not place any objects on top of the set.

ENGLISH - 1 2 - Initial Settings First A.P.S. (Automatic Programming System) When you turn the TV on for the first time, the first APS menu appears. APS, searches and sorts all channels and stores them automatically on your TV , accord- ing to the transmission of programme sys- tems in your area.
ENGLISH - 1 3 - If FEA TURE NOT A V AILABLE is displayed, download was not performed correctly . Before trying to download again, check that: The VCR power is turned on. The VCR is T -V Link compatible. The VCR is connected to the EXT -2.
ENGLISH - 1 4 - Programme Selection (Previous or next programme) Press button to select the previous programme. Press button to select the next programme. Programme Selection (direct access) Press digit buttons on the remote control t o select programmes between 0 and 9.

ENGLISH - 1 6 - Note 1: At low signal level, the changings on the Noise Reduction function are not effective when there is menu on the screen. If the menu is removed, the effect of this function is seen. At normal broadcasting, Noise Reduction changings are effec- tive at once.

Using the T eletext in- formation system you can view a page of in- formation on a subject that is available in the list of contents (index).
ENGLISH - 2 5 - Select the required subcode page number by pressing four digit buttons (e.g. 0001). If the selected subcode page is not displayed in a short time, press button.

For details, see the manual provided with the equipment. T o store the test signal that comes from the equipment, see Install Menu on page 17 and store it to the program number 0.
