5 WASHER USE Unders tanding W asher Cycles When the Cycl e Con trol knob is set to a number an d pulled out, the washer fi lls (to the sel ect ed load size) bef ore agitation and timing s tart. The wash er begins agi tating immediatel y after filling; agita tion occurs with the washe r lid u p or dow n.

8 Soak cycle The Soak cycle f eatures brie f periods of agit ation an d soak t ime to help remove heav y soils and st ains that need pre-treatment. ■ Use warm water w hen soakin g laundry . Hot wa ter can set some stains. ■ Use th e amount of detergent or presoak addit ive recommended by the manu facturer .
9 Rinse and S pin When us ing extra dete rg ent for heavily soiled clot hes, or washing special -care items , you may find an ex tra rinse and spi n is needed . 1. Push i n the Cycle Control kn ob and tur n it cl ockwise to any of the Rin se s ettings.
10 V acation, Storage and Movi ng Care Instal l an d store your wash er w here it will not freeze. Beca use some water may stay in the hoses, fr eezing can damage your washer . If storing or moving your washer during freezing weather , winteri ze it. Non-use or vacation care Operate your washe r only when you are at home.
