2 PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY (a) Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since open-door operation can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks.
3 Electrical Requirements Observe all governing codes and or dinances. Required: ■ A 120 V olt, 60 Hz, AC only , 15- or 20-amp electrical supply with a fuse or cir cuit breaker . Recommended: ■ A time-delay fuse or time-delay circuit breaker . ■ A separate circuit serving only this microwave oven.
4 Accessories Pan (on some models) Use the pr ovided pan for pan-fryi ng (br owning). The pan may be used to catch drippings during grill (on some models) and convection (on som e models) function s. Steamer V essel (on some models) Use the steamer vessel base, insert and lid for steaming, or use just the base and lid for simmering.
5 Microwave Oven Use Sensor Cooking A sensor in the micr owave oven detects moisture re leased from food as it heats, and adjusts the cooking time acc ordingly . Make sure micr owave oven has been plugged in for at least 2 minutes. Use micr owave-safe dish with loose-fitting lid, or cover microwave-safe dish with plas tic wrap and vent.
