5 Loca tion Re qui reme nts Y ou will need ■ A location that allow s for proper exhaust instal lation. See “V ent ing Requirements.” ■ A sep arate 30 amp c ir cuit. ■ If you are using a power suppl y cord, a grounded electrical outlet locat ed withi n 2 ft (61 cm) of ei ther sid e of the dryer .

7 If using a power s upply cor d: Use a UL li sted powe r supply cor d kit marked for use wi th clothes dryers . The kit shou ld contain : ■ A UL listed 30-amp powe r supply cord, rated 120/240 vol t minimum. The cor d should be type SRD or SRDT and b e at least 4 ft (1.
8 Make Ele ctrical C onnection Power Supp ly Cord Direct Wire 1. Discon nect powe r . 2. Posi tion th e dry er so that th e r ear of the d ryer is within 4 ft (1.2 m) of it s final l ocation. 3. Remove t he hold-d own scr ews and termina l block cov er .
9 ■ Put po wer sup ply co r d thr ough the strai n r elief . Be su re that th e wire insula tion on t he power su pply cord is inside the strai n relief. The strain relief sh ould have a tight fit wi th the dryer cab inet and be i n a horizont al position .
10 1. Remove center silver -colored termin al block screw . 2. Remov e ne utra l ground wire from e xte rn al grou nd co nduc tor screw . Co nnect ne utra l grou nd wi re and the n eut ral wire (white or c enter wir e) of powe r supply cor d under cen ter , silver -colored terminal block screw .
11 3. Connect gr ound wi re (gr een or b are) of dir ect wir e cabl e to external ground conductor s crew . Tighten scr ew . 4. Place the hooked ends of the oth er direct wire cable wires under the outer termi nal block scr ews (hooks facing right). Squeeze hooked ends together .
12 When connect ing to the te rminal block, plac e the hooked end of the wire under the screw of the terminal block (hook facing right), squeeze hooked end togeth er and tighte n screw , as shown. 1. Loosen or re move center silver -colored terminal block scr ew .
13 V enting R equire ments WARNING: T o re duce the risk of fire , this d ryer MUS T BE EXHAUSTED OUTDOORS. IMPORT AN T : Obse rve all gover ni ng codes and ordinanc es. The dryer exhau st must not be connected into any gas ven t, chimney , wa ll, ceili ng or a concealed spa ce of a build ing.

15 Install V ent System 1. Posi tion th e dry er so that th e r ear of the d ryer is within 4 ft (1.2 m) of it s final l ocation. 2. Install exhaust ho od. Us e caulkin g compou nd to seal ext erior wall opening ar ound exhaust hood. 3. Conne ct vent t o exhaus t hood.

17 ■ Pr ess T EMP until the desir ed temper at ure ill umina tes. NOTE : During a Manual Cycle, you can change the settings for Time, T emperatu re, Extra Care and Cycle End T one signal . Press P AUSE/CANCE L twice t o stop the dryer an d clear the settings.
18 Check Lint Screen The Check Li nt Screen disp lay reminds you to check the l int screen. CHECK LINT SCREE N is disp layed when the machin e is turn ed on. The messa ge tur ns off when the lint screen is opened and cleaned, Start is pressed, or after 5 minut es have elapsed.

23 ■ Is the dryer located in a r oom with temperature below 45ºF (7ºC)? Proper operati on of dry er cycles requires temperatures ab ove 45 º F (7 º C). ■ Is the dryer located in a closet? Closet doors must have vent ilatio n openings at th e top and bottom of the door .
