- 9 - Connection with t he 12 V vehicle adapter 1. Plug the device plug of the 12V vehicle adapter into the sock et on the side of t he device. 2. Plug the 12V vehicle adapter into a suitable socket, for e xample, the cigarette lighter con- nection in the vehicle.
- 10 - Installing t he rechargeable batter y 1. Plug the rechargeable battery connections into the recepticle on the bottom of the device. 2. Push the rechargeable battery , as illustrated abov e, into the recepticle until it audibly locks into place.
- 11 - Audio connection to the television or to a stereo system 1. For sound transmissions insert the audio cinch cable's red jack plug into the AUDIO IN/OUT COAX socket of the D VD player . 2. Inser t the white and red cinch plugs of the au- dio cinch cable into the corresponding audio input L/R of the television or stereo system.

- 14 - 8. Menu functions Navigating in t he menu 1. Press the SETUP button to access the Setup menu. The main menu appears GENERAL SETUP PAG E . • With the control buttons and the OK / ENTER button you can carry out all t he settings in the menu.
- 15 - ANGLE MARK On some DVDs particular scenes are recorded from v ar ious camera positions. • Select the input ON to switch to the next camera position by pr essing the ANGLE button during playback of the film. • T o deactivate this function select the input OFF .
- 16 - 8.2 AUDIO SETUP P A GE DIGIT AL AUDIO Select the input DIGIT AL AUDIO to set the SPDIF audio output signal. The input changes to DIGIT AL OUTPUT . OFF : Select OFF when there is to be no digital signal output. RA W : The DVD play er outputs the raw data of the Dolby Digital sound (default setting).
- 17 - DO WNMIX L T/RT : Select this setting if the film was recorded in Pr o Logic Dolby Digital and you w ant to hear the sound in cinema quality . STEREO : Select this option to output the lef t and right sound channels of the DVD. The output with CD playback is a traditional stereo sigtnal.

- 20 - 10. Playbac k of D VD, SV CD, V CD and CD discs. 10.1 Inser ting the disc • Open the disc tray on the DVD play er by pressing the OPEN button. OPEN will now appear in the display . • Place a DVD/V CD/S-VCD with the inscribed/labelled side facing up into the disc tray .

- 25 - 4. Proceed in the same manner to place furt her bookmarks. Once you hav e placed all t he de- sired bookmarks press the MARK button to fade out the bookmark menu from the screen. 5. Later if you w ant to skip to the passages, on which you hav e placed bookmarks press the MARK button again.

SKIP • With the control buttons tuned the skip function to ON to skip ov er the cur rently tuned station so that by interconnection of the station it will no longer be displayed.
