5 PROGRAM MODE The Program Mode is laid out in a m anner that allows you to program each function separately, or you can follow the instructi ons entirely to program the Weather Center completely.
6 II. SETTING THE LCD CONTRAST 1. Press the SET button, the default setting “LCD 5” will flash in the DATE DISPLAY. 2. There are 8 LCD contrast levels to choose from—“LCD 0” is the lightest and “LCD 7” is the darkest. 3. Press the + button to toggle through the various settings.

8 IX. WORLD/LOCAL TIME DISPLAY Note: The World and Local Time can b e displa yed in three different ways. The Local Time ca n be the const ant time shown, the World Tim e can be the c onstant time shown, or the World/Loc al Time can be displayed so t hat they show intermittently.

13 2. Press key #2 again, and “RAIN 24h - -.- in” is displayed. This is the measure of the total number of inches of rainfall over a 24-hour period, updated daily at 7:00 am local time. 3. To return to the standar d DATE DISPLAY of month/date/ year, press key #2 .
14 4. Press key #3 while the MINIMUM outdoor temperature is still displayed. “MAX” is now flashing to the right of where the forecast icon was, the MAXIMUM outdoor temperature and hu midity, the time and the date of occurrence are all shown in the LCD.
15 MOUNTING Note: Before permane ntly mounting ensure that the Weather Center is able to receive WWVB signals from the desir ed location. Extreme and s udden changes i n temperat ure will decrease the accuracy of the Weather Center, and chang es in elevatio n will result with inaccura te weather forecasting for the next 12 to 24 ho u rs.

17 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem: No reception of WW VB time signal. Solution: 1) Wait overni ght for signal. 2) Be sure Weather Center is at least 6 feet from any electrical devices, su ch as televisions, com puters, or other radi o -c ontrolled clock s.
