XPress DR+ User Guide 10 Chapter 1: Using This Guide Purpose and Audience This manual describes the Lantronix XPres s DR+ and XPress DR+W d evice servers. These device servers are members of t he XPr ess family that work with Industrial Automation Protocols.
Chapter 1: Using This Guide XPress DR+ User Guide 11 Chapter 13: Troubleshooting and Technical Support Describes common problems and err or messages and how to contact Lantronix T echnical Support. Appendix A: Technical Specifications Lists technical informa tion about the unit.
XPress DR+ User Guide 12 Chapter 2: Introduction This chapter provides basic information about the wired and wireless versio ns of the XPress DR+. The wireless version ha s two mo des of operation: wireless an d wired. In wired mode, the wireless function ality is not used, and the unit behaves identically to the wired XPress DR+.
Chapter 2: Introduction XPress DR+ User Guide 13 Human-machine interfaces Robots Flow meters Temperature monitoring equipment Scales Mixing stations Gas detection devices .
Chapter 2: Introduction XPress DR+ User Guide 14 Industrial Automation Protocols The XPress DR+, adapted to multiple factor y environments, can unite any mixture of equipment from industrial automation ve ndors into a single reliable pipeline.
Chapter 2: Introduction XPress DR+ User Guide 15 Loading industrial protocol s such as Modbu s Bridge to an XPress DR+ chan ges the configuration dialogs. See the user guide s on individual protocols for protocol-specific settings and configuration dialog s.
