Intr oduction Thank you for purchasing the Apex LD4088 HD T elevision. It has been de- signed to enjoy today’s high denition television experience. With a display resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 (1080p) you are assured of one of the nest qual - ity televisions available today .
R emote Contr ol Y our r emote control handset is powered by two (2) AAA type ba tteries • T o insert batteries, turn the remote control over and remove the battery cover . When pointed towards the television, the effective range is approximately 16 feet from the • front of the IR receiver , 30° to the left and right, 20° up and down.

Initial TV Setup After you have initially connected your TV antenna or cable (no set top box) turn the television ON. A screen will display asking you to run a Channel Auto Scan to search and receive available local digital channels. It is here where you will select antenna options and run Channel Auto Scan.
The PICTURE menu offers options to enhance and rene the picture displayed on your TV based on ambient room light and personal prefer - ences. Adjustment options include contrast, brightness, color , sharpness and color temperature. How to Na vigate: Press the MENU button on the remote control.
The AUDIO menu offers options to make sound enhancements while listening through the built-in speakers or to select digital audio options when connected to a Dolby Digital receiver though a (SPDIF) coaxial digital output. How to Na vigate: Press the MENU button on the remote control.
Menu Adjustments Date & T ime Menu The TIME menu includes adjustment of settings for your local time zone and daylight savings time. The clock will adjust automatically after the initial Channel Auto Scan of available broadcast channels in your area.
In the SETUP menu you may change the initial set up of preferences that include settings for language, menu display , computer monitoring, closed captions, enhancement of black detail in the picture and resetting your TV back to its factory default status.
Menu Adjustments The SETUP menu includes adjustments for activating the Closed Caption feature for display on the television and customizing CC display types and font styles. How to Na vigate: Press the MENU button on the remote control. Navigate using arrow t u buttons to select SETUP .
PC Menu Adjustments In the SETUP menu you may adjust the position of images displayed on screen once you connect an input signal from your PC . Recommended resolution is 1,980 x 1,080. For use with a laptop computer , refer to your computer ’s owner manual on instruction for proper display output.
In the Parental menu, you may block television and movie programming based on TV ratings and Motion Picture Association guidelines. T o gain access and select your preferences within the Parental menu make certain your input is set to TV . How to Na vigate: Press the MENU button on the remote control.

Menu Adjustments TV Menu • Highlight F A VORITE to add channels to your Favorites List. Navigate using the t u qp arrow buttons to select channels to be added or deleted from your list. Press ENTER to add or delete a channel. A check- mark indicates a channel has been added.
Zoom Mode Press ZOOM to cycle through the following widescreen settings. The ZOOM function offers several viewing display options on the 16:9 screen. Press ZOOM to cycle through the following widescreen settings. Recommended for viewing native widescreen content and undistorted 4:3 images.
