15 Installation Installation 3 NO TE If a connected HDMI device does not accept the audio output of the player , the HDMI device ’ s audio sound may be distorted or may not output. When you use HDMI connection, you can change the resolution for the HDMI output.
16 Installation Installation 3 Component Video Connection Connect the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks on the player to the corresponding input jacks on the T V using component video cable. Connect the left and right AUDIO OUT jacks of the player to the audio left and right IN jacks on the T V using the audio cables.

20 Installation Installation 3 Connecting to your Home Network This player can be connected to a local area network (LAN) via the LAN por t on the rear panel. By connecting the unit to a broadband home network , you ha ve access to ser vices such as software updates, BD-LIVE interactivity and on-line ser vices .
21 Installation Installation 3 Wired Network Setup If there is a DHCP ser ver on the local ar ea network (LAN) via wired connection, this player will automatically be allocated an IP address . After making the physical connection, a small number of home networks may require the player’ s network setting to be adjusted.
22 Installation Installation 3 Notes on Network Connection: Many network connection problems during set up can often be xed by re-setting the router or modem. After connecting the player to the home network, quick ly power o and/or disconnect the power cable of the home network router or cable modem.

NO TE When you select [24 Hz], you may experience some picture disturbance when the video switches video and lm material.

28 Installation Installation 3 DRC (Dynamic Range Control) When a title encoded in Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus is playing back, you may wish to compress the dynamic range of the audio output (the di erence between the loudest sounds and the quietest ones).
