To ch eck this, right-click ‘My Computer’, c lick ‘Properties’ an d then ‘Device M anager’ to open the ‘Device Man ager’ window .

- 14 - SOFTW ARE INST ALLA TION FOR MACINTOSH 1. Before install the IEEE 1394 DVD-ROM, please ch eck the version of your FireWire driver in system, the versi on h igher th an 2.7 is recommended . Follo w the below pro cedur es t o check the vers ion. A.
- 15 - USING DVD-ROM WITH I EEE 1394 INTERFACE To Connect The IEEE 1394 DVD-RO M To Your Computer ♦ Wind ow s 98 SE/M e/20 00/ XP and M aci ntos h: 1. Insert th e plu g of the IEEE 1394 cable into the Interface C onne ctor of your drive. 2. Ensure the Pow er Source Sw itch is at DC position.
- 16 - 3. Wait for f ew seconds u ntil the sy stem prom pts ‘T he IEEE 1394 CD -ROM can now be safe ly removed f rom the sy stem’. Click OK , and t hen remov e the IEEE 1394 ca ble from computer . ♦ Wind o ws 20 00: 1. Double-clic k on t he icon on sy stem tray and ‘Unplug or Ejec t Hardw are ’ dialog box appea rs.
