SM 41 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 3 UNPA CKING Follow the steps below when unpacking the c om ponents of the SM41. 1. Cut off the shipping wrapper. 2. Remove the parts box a nd shipping boards. 3. Remove the it ems in the part s box. T hese item s are s hown in Figure 1.

Bolt on the connecting bea m ( part 4 fr om Figure 2) using a 5/8” sock et with extension and com bination wrenc h, to the cells using two of the large 7/16” x 6” bolts, 7/16” washers, and 7/16” nuts , end cap washers and end caps.
SM 41 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 7 4. Mount the 56” lat top (par t T f rom HARDWARE s ection) to the 4- stack cell us ing a 5/8” sock et and com bination wrench. Ins ert two of the large 7/16” by 6” bolts using the hardware configur ation shown in Figure 7.

Remove th e tricep back rest bo lts using a 9/16” s ock et and com bination wrench (see Figur e 9). B. Unbolt the top plate and re mov e the guide rods using a 9/16” sock et and com bination wrench (s ee Figure 9).
SM 41 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 9 The 190 lb weight stac ks will need to be facing the “outs ides” and “insides ” of the cells (where the tr icep pulley adjustable pulley s will be attached). Mak e sur e all pull pins are f acing outward.

SM 41 Unpacking & Assembly Instr uctions 11 INSTA LLING THE CABLES The SM41 us es four cables. T here are two diff erent types of cable used on the SM41. T hey are: 1. Crossover cables ( ball end cables) ( 2). 2. Lat pulldown and tricep cables ( 2).
SM41 U npacking & Assembly Instructions 12 CROSSOVER CABLE RO UTI NG Once you’ve removed the pulleys as desc ribed previously, route the cros sover cables on the 4-stack c ell as shown in Figure 16. T he cros sover c able is routed at the f actory on the 1-stack cube.

SM41 U npacking & Assembly Instructions 16 The parts shown in Hardware Figure 1 are us ed to assem ble the SM41. T hey are: A. 7/16” x 6” hex head bolt (used to bolt the tric ep top beam , adjustable c rossover top beam, lat top beam , and c onnecting beam to the tops of the cells) B.
