4 IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: 1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. 2. This appliance is for household use o nly. Do not use outdoors. 3. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.
5 20. Do not switch on the deep fryer if it is not filled with oil or liquid fa t. 21. Do not use an external timer or separate remo te -control system for this appliance. 22. Only use oil or fat that does not foam and suitable for frying (see labels on the oil purchased).
6 Saf ety Thermal C ut -O ut This unit is designed with a safety thermal cut-out switch. If the deep fryer overheats, the safety thermal cut-o ut switch will automatically discontinue the power to the heating element . This can happen if the fryer is not filled with sufficient oil or the solid frying fat is not melted in the fryer.

8 BEFORE USE 1. Before using the dee p f ryer for the first time, the individual parts must be clean ed using warm water and dried thoroughly (s ee Care and Maintenance ). CAUTION: Electrical parts must remain dry at all times. 2. Place the deep fryer on a horizontal, level, and stable surface.
9 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Frying 1. Switch on the fryer. 2. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature setting. 3. Within 10 to 15 minutes, the oil or fat will be heated to the selected temperature and the indicator light will turn off. 4. While the fryer is heating, the indicator light will turn on and off several times.

11 Deep-Frozen Products Deep-frozen products (-61 to - 64 F) will cool the oil or fat and therefore do not fry the food quickly enough to absorb much oil or fat. This can be prevented as follows: 1. Do not fry large quantities at on ce (see Table). 2.
12 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Cl eaning CAUTION: Oil or fat must be cooled to room tem perature before removal and /or disposal. 1. Disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet. 2. Remove the lid and basket. Remove the oil pot from the fryer and pour out the oil or fat.
13 LIMITED WARRAN TY Unless otherwise prohibited, MC Appliance Corporation warrants each 3.5 Liter DEEP FRYER MCSDF 15 ST to be free from defects in material a nd workmanship and agrees to remedy any such defect or to furnish a new part(s) (at the company’s op tion) of the unit that fails during the warranty period.
