4 IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: 1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. 2. This appliance is for household use o nly. Do not use outdoors. 3. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.

6 Saf ety Thermal C ut -O ut This unit is designed with a safety thermal cut-out switch. If the deep fryer overheats, the safety thermal cut-o ut switch will automatically discontinue the power to the heating element . This can happen if the fryer is not filled with sufficient oil or the solid frying fat is not melted in the fryer.

8 BEFORE USE 1. Before using the deep fryer for the first time, the in dividual parts must be cleaned and dried thoroughly (s ee Care and Maintenance ). 2. Place the deep fryer on a horizontal, level, and stable surface. 3. Remove the lid and basket. 4.
9 OPERATING INSTRU CTIONS Frying 1. Switch on the fryer; the red indicator light will turn on. 2. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature setting. 3. Within 10 to 15 minutes, the oil or fat will be heated to the selected temperature and the indicator light will turn off.

11 Deep-Frozen Products Deep-frozen products (-61 to - 64 F) will cool the oil or fat and therefore do not fry q uickly enough to absorb much oil or fat. This can be prevented as follows: 1. Do not fry large quantities at once (see Table). 2. Allow the deep-frozen food to defrost at room temperature.
12 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Cleaning CAUTION: Oil or fat must be cooled to room tem perat ure before removal and/or disposal. 1. Disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet. 2. Remove the lid and basket. 3. Remove the oil pot from the fryer and pour out the oil or fat.
13 Disposal CAUTION: Oil or fat must be cooled to room tem perature before removal /or and disposal. Used oil or liquid fat can be best disposed of by pouring it back into th e original plastic bottle and sealing properly. Solid fat should be solidified in the fryer and removed with a spoon o r spatula.
14 LIMITED WA RRANTY Unless otherwise prohibited, MC Appliance Corporation warrants each 1.5 Liter DEEP FRYER MCSDF6ST to be free from defects in material and workmanship and agrees to remedy any such defect or to furnish a new part(s) (a t the company’s option) of the unit that fails during the warranty period.
