6 Safety General • Read and keep the directions for use! • Installation of water , drainage and electricity must be carried out by a qualified professional. • Do not use the dishwasher for any pur- poses other than those stated in these directions for use.
7 Child-safe dishwashing • Alwa ys close the door and star t the pro- gram immediately once dishwasher deter- gent has been added. • K eep children a wa y from the dishw asher when it is open. There might be the remains of dishwasher detergent present! • Do not allow children to use or play with the dishwasher .

11 See F ragile dishes , if you w ant to wash ar ticles that may be fragile . Dispense dishwasher detergent Detergent should be dispensed in accordance with the wa ter’ s hardness le vel. Follow the dosage instructions on the deter- gent package. If your dishwasher is fitted with a water softener , dispense as f or soft water .

Do not rinse before dishwashing Thanks to the dishwasher’ s Super Cleaning System™ you do not need to rinse the dishes under running water before loading them into the machine.
15 Fragile dishes A number of household goods are not suit- able f or machine washing. There can be many reasons f or this. Cer tain mater ials cannot withstand intense heat, others can be damaged by the dishwasher detergent. Fragile decoration China with decoration on top of the glaze (the ar ticle has a rough f eel) should not be machine washed.

18 Cleaning Cleaning The dishwasher’ s inner container is made of stainless steel and is kept clean through nor mal use. Howe v er , if y ou hav e calcif erous (hard) water , lime deposits can f or m in the dishwasher . In this case, run a nor mal wash program with two tablespoons of citric acid in the dishwasher detergent compartment.

21 Salt P our in salt Before using a dishwasher with a water softening filter , y ou must fill the salt com- par tment with salt. Use coarse salt or spe- cial salt for dishwashers. It is best to fill with salt when you are about to do a wash, as the dishwasher needs to be rinsed out immediately after filling.
22 Settings Setting water hardness If you ha v e a dishwasher with a water softener , you ma y need to change the setting de- pending on the water’ s hardness lev el. Phone y our local W ater Board to check the w ater hardness in your area. The dishwasher is set f or low w ater hardness on delivery .

25 Problems P ossible causes Action • T oo high dosage of r inse aid. • Cer tain food remnants such as mustard, mayon- naise, lemon, vinegar , salt and dressings can cause stains on stainless steel if allowed to remain for any length of time. All stainless steel can mark silver if allowed to come into contact during the dishwashing process.
