FEATURES The Aquatica A300 is the wo rld's most t echnologically ad vanced under water housing, e rgonomical ly designed to place all the essential camera cont rols under your finge r tips and features the following: - Large ergonomic and easy to operate controls for most of the manual and computerized camera fun ctions.
CONTROLS IN DETAIL 1. SHUTTER RELEASE LEVER- pulling th e shutter release lever back part way activat es the camera meter and autofocus. Pullin g the lever back all the way fires the camera. 2. MAIN DIAL KNOB: It rotates clockwise and counter clockw ise.
PREPARATION OF THE HOUSIN G 1. Attach Grip Bra cket to the housing : The housing co mes with two hand grips which sho uld be inst alled on the sides of the housing with th e supplied screws and Allen key. Occasionally remove the grips a nd lubricate the screws (see Care and Maintenance: of the housing.
PREPARATION OF THE LENS Depending on the lens used, there are a num ber of gear option s possible. Using the right gear (s) and correctly mounting t hem on the l ens is very importa nt for a sm ooth housi ng operati on. Use the fol lowing cha rt to determ ine which gear(s) to use a nd follow the inst allation directions for each gea r care fully.
CAMERA PREPARATION AND INSTALLATION 1. Turn the camera Power switch to the ON position before closing the Hou s ing. 2. Set the Focus Mode Selector on the len s to the proper setting AF or MF if using a focus gear 3.
Before closing the housing always ens ures that: 1. The main O-ring on the front half of the housing is clean, lubricated and properly seated for a positiv e seal. 2. The sealing surface on the rear half of the housing is clean and free from any scratches or physical damage.
4. Push on one side of the port or extension ring until you feel it snap into place. Then press the othe r side until it, snaps into place. Make sure the bayon et is com pletely inside the housing. 5. Finally turn the Port clockwise approximately 60 degr ees until it stops .
FOCUS MODE Make sure to s elect the focus m ode (manual or auto fo cus) on your cam era prior to the dive. The location of the MF/AF selector on the lens preven t access trough the AQUATI CA A300 Digital housing. AF: The camera will find, lock and hold fo cu s as long as the shutter trigger is partially depressed.
CARE AND MAINTENA NCE Of the housing: After each and every salt water dive, your housing system should be soake d or rinsed in fresh water. The housing system should soak in fresh water for at least 30 minutes. During this so aking period reach into the water an d operate all the controls several times.
TO SERVICE O-RI NGS Of the housing Mai n O-R i n g, Port s and Ext e nsion Rings 1. Rem ove the O- ring. It is i mportant never to use a sharp i nstrument when removi ng an O-ri ng as this m ay damage the O- ring groove or the O-ri ng itself. A bobby pin or edge of a c redit card works well.
