Setting Up The Projector 1. Place the proje ctor on a sturdy , flat surface within 1.8 meters of a computer or video source (e.g. video tape deck, camcorder, digital camera, or laser disk player). 2. Place the proje ctor at a qualified distance fro m the screen so as to project the desired screen siz e.
Ensure the polarities of the b atteries are placed in the corr ect positions. 7. Slide back the bat teries' compartment cover . Please pay attention when replacing batterie s: Do not mix used and ne w batteries. Do not recharge used batterie s or expose them to fire or water .
Connecting T o A Computer This projector can be connect ed t o a computer with the foll o wing video signals: VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA. Computers that are compatible with this pro jector is as below: IBM desktop PC or compatible. IBM notebook or compatible.

Connecting T o An Audio Source The projector has t wo types of inputs for audi o: one single-jack inputs for a computer and a t wo-jack in pu t for the video audio. The video aud io sourc e input has an L jack t hat controls the left speaker a nd an R j ack that controls the right speaker .

Connecting T o An External Speaker Though the internal s peakers of t he project or are enough for most small size or medium-size rooms, an exter nal speaker can be connecte d to achieve the best results for large room presentations. How T o Adjust The Projected Image The Focus and Zo om Functions When an image is displa yed on the screen, f irst examine whether t he image is focused, and whether it is located on the scre en accurately . T o focus the display image, you ma y ad just the Focus Ring by turning left or right.
The A uto Key If the image project e d is from the computer , project it on the screen a nd then press the AUTO key to automatically adj ust the set up of this project or with the computer signal. Press the AUTO key when the image is displayed i n a WINDOWS-like screen of a computer .

Examine The Projector St atus The projector is desig ned with Power Led Indicator a nd a L amp Led Indicator. Both indicators enab le an im mediate inspec tion of the status of the projec t or . Attention: When both the indic at ors bli nk or remain lit, it means t hat the projector has a serious problem(s).
USING THE OSD MENU The functions of fered by the OSD men u of this projector are as follows: Adjusts the in put sign al of the projected image in it s brightness, black level, contrast, position and t he interface of the remote -control mouse.
How T o Access The OSD Menu Press the MENU key (on the top cont rol pan el of the proje ctor o r the remote control) and the main menu window will be displayed at the left top of the projected ima ge.
Black Level Adjusts the scale of the bl ack col or in the projected image. The highe r the value of Black Level is and the darker the image will b e. Contrast Adjusts the contra st betwe en the br ight and gloomy regions in the projected image.

“Mouse” icon for the interface of mouse dev i ce. In the “Mouse” box, you will see the “PS2”, “USB” and “MAC” bars. When t he interface of mouse device is PS 2, then just select “PS2”. When t he interface of mouse device is U SB, then just select “USB”.
MAINTENANCE This projector only needs sim ple maintenanc e. 1. Keep the lens clean s o that the shado w of dust or stains will not appear on the screen. 2. Clean the air fil ter located at the bott om of the projector . If the air filter is blocked by dust, this will cause bad ventila tio n.
Cleaning the Lens Any dirt or stains on the lens surface should be cle aned off immediately with a piece of soft, dry cloth not m ade of cotton or velvet material. Y ou may also clean the project or b y wiping gently the lens surface with a soft cloth moisten with a mixtur e of water and a neutral detergent.

Replacing The Projector Lamp A new lamp should be replac ed according to t he f ollowing conditions: Replace the lamp when the image displa yed by this projec tor seems too dark or too dim.
Caution: Any invisible greasy residue or per spiration on the han ds will shorten the life of the bulb. Therefore, do not replac e the lamp with your bare hands. Please put clea n gloves on your han ds or handle the bulb with a clean cloth during the repl acement.
5. Loosen the scr ews used to position the e lectricit y outlet on the lamp with a coin or a screw driver . 6. Gently insert th e new lamp and tighten th e screws you loosed in step5. 7. Tighten the lamp case you took off in step 3. 8. Position the la mp cover you took off in step 2.
TROUBLESHOOTING The following paragraphs depict problems i ndicate by the Led I ndicator and provide information o n troubleshooting. General problems with the project or: Read carefully this sect ion when the projector is not working or when you need to f ind out what does this Led Indicator in dicate.
Problem With The Projector If a problem occurs with the pr ojector , check first t he Indicators on it. Each Led Indicator repres ents the following messages: Power Led Indicator Color S tatus Meaning Green Remains Lit The projector system is operat ing normally .

If the projector remains overh eat ed after the filters have been cleaned, please contact the d ealer of this projector to req u est service for checking the cooling f an an d the internal circuitr y . The Power Indicator is blinking red: There is a problem with the internal circuitry .
The words ‘No Si gnal’ app ear o n the screen: Check to ensure wheth er t he video signal source is connect ed to the projector . Check whether this video si gn al source is outputt ing a signal. If the projector does not receiv e any video inp ut signal in 30 minutes, the projector will automaticall y turn the power off.
No Sound Check whether the audi o output is in the Mute status. Press the MUTE button on the oper at ion panel. Check to ensure that the volume is not turned all t he way down. Check to ensure that the RCA Cable (Aud io) is connected securely to the Audi o source and the projector.
