EN-8 Remote contr ol Battery installatio n Use two (A A, R6) size b atteries. 1. Remov e the back cov er of the remote contr ol by pushing the battery compartment door in the direction of the arrow . 2. Load the batteries making sure that the y are positioned correctly (+ to +, and - to -) .

The lamp may dete riorate if the projector is pow ered off and on repeatedly within 30 minu tes after the lamp is lighted. 1. Y ou can select from BEIGE, LIGHT BLUE, LIGHT GREEN, PI NK, BLACK BO ARD , WHITE BOARD , and OFF , to match the color of the screen or w all to be used for projection.

EN-20 Menu operation (contin ued) 2. INST ALLA TION menu • By defa ult, the LAMP MODE is set to ST ANDARD . The LAMP MODE is set to eit her ST ANDARD or LO W depending on the setting last sel ected, and you ca nnot switch the LAMP MODE in about one minute after the lamp is on .

EN-23 ENGLISH Image adjustment Adjusting pro jected images T o adjust the brightness (CONT RAST and BRIGHT- NESS): Y ou can make adjustments of the brightness of the projected image using the men u. (See page 17 o r 19 f or the menu opt ions.) 1. Displa y the QUICK MENU or the IMA GE menu.
EN-24 Image adjustment (continued) BrilliantColor TM Use this setting to make color s with medium brightness, such as yel- low and the skin tone a ppear natural. Press t he W button to d ecrease the val ue to lessen the effect. Press th e X button to increase th e value to heighten the eff ect.
EN-25 ENGLISH Adv anced features Freeze T o stop the motion in the image temporarily (or to dis- play a still image): Press the FREEZE bu tton on the remote control. • The image freezes tempor arily . T o resume the motion in the imag e: Press the FREEZE bu tton on the remote control again.
EN-26 Adv anced features (continued) Supervising and contr olling by computer Y ou can super vise and co ntrol the projector's oper ation using a personal computer vi a a LAN network. • T o supervise and control the proje ctor , install the sof tware "Projector-Contro l Device Installer *" contained in the attached C D-ROM.
EN-27 ENGLISH Lamp replacement This projector is equipped with a lamp to project images. This lamp is a consumable . It may b ur n out or it s brightness may decrease during use. In such cases, replace th e lamp with a ne w one as soon as possi- ble .
EN-28 Lamp replacement (continued) 5. Remov e the lamp attachment unit. • Pull the lamp unit out of the project or slowly . If it is pulled out quickly , the lamp may brea k, scattering glass fragments.
EN-29 ENGLISH T roub leshooting Bef ore asking f or repair of the project or , check the f ollowing. If the symptom persists , stop using the pro jector , be sure to u n plug the powe r plug, and then contact you r dealer . No image appe ar s on the sc reen.
