6 Do not leave the grill pan handl e in position when gri lling as it wil l becom e hot. Alw a ys use ov en gl ove s to withd raw the gril l pan, when grilling. Follo w the recomm endatio ns on page 16. Ensure th at you support the grill pan when it is in the withdra wn or parti ally withdra wn position.

9 PREPARING CABINET FOR FITTING OVEN · Make s ure the space be tween the c abinets is th e correc t size for the ap pliance to be fitted (Ref. Fig. 5 & 6). · The plin th board sp anning th e space into which the app liance is t o be instal led s hould be rem oved.
10 HOW TO FINISH UNPACKING · Place appl iance next t o the spac e in wh ich it will be instal led. See Fig 8. · Remove the applianc e pack ing except f or bottom tray whi ch sho uld be left i n posi tion unt il the applianc e is read y to be fitte d into its cabinet.
11 CONNECTING TO THE MAINS TERMINAL Warning: This appliance must be earthed. · W e recommend you use a new length of 6mm 2 twin core an d earthed cable t o ensur e your safe ty . · Make c onnection as shown in F ig. 12 by proceed ing as f ollows:- · Preform wires to th e appropr iate shap e to su it fitting int o the m ains term inal block .
12 FITTING INTO THE SPAC E BETWEEN CABINETS IMPO RTANT: Ensu re that th e oven is switch ed off at the w all before an y further work is car ried out. · Ensure t he appli ance is in front of the cabin et. See Fig. 13. · Take out all oven f urniture before insta llation t o reduce the weight you need to l ift.

17 The grill pan must not be located in the shelf runners . To check the progres s of the f ood bein g grill ed, the grill pan shoul d be withdr awn on th e shelf to att end to food duri ng cook ing. Ensure that you support the grill pan when it is withdraw n.

19 USES OF THE FA N OVEN The Fan o ven is part icularl y suitab le for cook ing larger quantit ies of food, or for weekend or celebrat ion m eals. The adva ntages of Fan oven co oking ar e: PREHE A T ING The Fan o ven quic kly reaches its tem perature so it is not usually necess ary to preheat the oven.
20 HINTS AND TIP S · Arrange the shelv es in the requ ired positio ns before switc hing the oven on. Shelf positio ns are counted f rom the bottom upwards .
21 The oven temperatur es are int ended as a guide o nly. It m ay be neces sary t o incr ease or decreas e the temper atures by a f urther 10°C t o suit indi vidual pr eferences and requir ements. Note: Shelf positio ns are cou nted fr om the bottom of the ov en.
22 ROASTING CHART INTERNAL T EMPERAT URES – Rare : 50-60 °C, Medium : 60-70°C, W ell don e : 70-80°C MEAT FAN OVEN COOKING TIME Beef 160 – 180°C 20- 35 minutes per ½kg ( 1lb) and 20-35 minute.
23 USES OF DEFROST FEA TURE This fan oven funct ion enabl es you to def rost m ost foods without heat faster than some c onventional methods as the oven f an circulates air ar ound the food. It is particular ly suit able f or de licate fro zen foods whic h are to be s erved c old e.
24 BEFORE CLEANING THE APPLI ANCE, A LW AY S A L LOW THE COOLING FA N TO COOL THE A P PLI A NCE DOWN BEFORE SWITCHING OFF A T THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY. CLEANING MATERI A LS Before us ing any c leaning m aterials on your applianc e, check that the y are suitabl e and that t heir use is rec omm ended by the m anufactur er.
25 If the door glass panel becomes c hipped or has deep scratches the glass w ill be weakened and must be repl aced to p revent the possibility of the panel shattering. Please cont act your local Service F orce Centre who w ill be pleased to advise furth er.
26 COOKING TO REDUCE SOILAGE · Cook at the recomm ended tem peratures . Higher temper atures durin g roasting will incre ase soilage. T ry cook ing at lower tem perature for an increased length of time, you will sav e energ y and often th e joint is more tend er.
27 Before c alling an Engineer p lease carr y out the follo wing check s, you m ay be able to s olve t he problem without the ex pense of an Engin eer. If our Service Engineer f inds that t he prob lem is listed belo w you will b e charg ed for the c all wheth er or not the appliance is under guarantee.
