English Operating instructions 1 Details on the rating plate These details a re very import ant for identifying your appliance when you order spare pa rts or contact our aftersales service. The rating plate is found under the driver ’s seat. Enter all the details on your appliance’s rating plate in the following fields.
English Operating instructions 2 The safety devices are the following. Deflector Fig 2 The deflector protects you from injuries that can be ca used by the cutters or ejected solid obj ects. The appliance m ust be operated only when the deflector is installed.
English Operating instructions 3 Disconnecting • First disconnec t the black ca ble (–), and then t he red cable (+ ). • Remove the ba ttery fr om the appliance. Connecting • First connect the red cable (+), and then the black cable (–). Note! The battery’s positive terminal is marked with a plus sign (+).
English Operating instructions 4 PTO switch (E) Fig 6 The PTO switch actuates an electro- magnetic/mechanical clutch to switch ON and OFF t he cutters. ON = pull the switch OFF = press the switch Note! Before the engine ca n be started the PTO switch must be switched OFF.
English Operating instructions 5 Risk of asphyxia tion from carbon monoxide Run the IC engine ou tdoors only. Risk of explosi on and fi re Fuel/petrol vapours are explo sive, and fuel is highly flammable. Fill the engine with fuel before tu rning the ignition.
English Operating instructions 6 Instead of a steering wheel this appliance features two control levers that serve to steer and drive the appliance. When the cont rol levers are moved to the max positions, the wheels rotate at the speed set at the accelerator lever.
English Operating instructions 7 General When adj usting the cutting heigh t and drive speed make sure that the appliance i s not ove rloaded. The length, t ype, and wetne ss of cuttings may necessitate adjustments to the cutting heigh t and drive speed .
English Operating instructions 8 Cleaning the appliance Caution! Risk of damage to the appliance Do not use hi gh-pressure m edia to clean the appliance. • Whenever possible, clean the appliance directly after mowing. • Park the appliance on a firm and horizontal surface.
English Operating instructions 9 • Measure the distance between the cutters’ fro nt edge and t he ground and between the cutter’s rear edge and the ground. The measured distance from the front edge should be 3–6 mm lower than the distance from the rear edge.
