Emergency Buttons The three s ets of em er gency buttons, if progr am m ed, are always active whether the system is ar m ed or disarm ed. Discus s these Buttons with y our installer. The em ergency signal will only be activated when the two respective buttons are pres sed at the sam e tim e.
Disarming Your Sy stem when Returning 1 Enter your premises throu g h the Entry/Exit door. The k eypad w ill sound a steady tone to remind you to disarm the system before your Entry Delay tim e ex pires. 2 Enter your User Code and press . The G EM-P400 is constantly monitor ing its own com ponents, as well as all critical servic es, such as AC power and the telephone line, to insure that it is always ready to provide the protection for which it was des igned. W hen a system trouble does occur , it will caution you by lighting the TROUBLE light and beeping the keypad buzz er.

Your Installer has assigned a User 1 Code which can be used to not only Arm and Dis arm the system, but also to enter the User Program Mode, where y ou can program other user c odes. The following explains how you will use this code to progr am or erase additional user codes .
A mbush Code - In the event that y ou are forc ed by an intruder to disarm your system, this special code c an be used to disarm the system , and simultaneously send a silent alarm to Central Station. If y our s ystem has the Am bu sh f eatu re enabled, the code assigned as the User 4 code will function as y o ur Ambush Code.
