It is performed to restore data from the backup vo lume (RV) when a failure occurs in MV. Chapter 3 Replication Management 31 (i) Classification The volume types (volume attributes) are d isplayed. Displayed Icon Description (Green) MV. Indicates Master Volume which is the volume of re plicati on origin. (Light Blue) RV. Indicates Replication Vol ume which is the volume of replication target.
Chapter 3 Replication Management 32 (iv) Logical Disk Name The identification nam e or identifier (se e Note ) given for the logical disk is displayed. It is the same as the logical disk name displaye d in the main screen (State Monitoring screen) and can be changed f rom the main screen (State Monito ring screen).
Chapter 3 Replication Management 33 (viii) Disk Array The identification nam e given to the Disk Arr ay including the volume indicated by “Pair Number” is displayed. It is the same as the Disk Arr ay Name displayed in the main screen (Stat e Monitoring screen), and can be changed f rom the main screen (State Monit oring screen).

Chapter 3 Replication Management 48 [Execution Conditions] To Pair setting or Unpair, th e foll owing conditions must be satisfied. Conditions for Pair setting Volumes in which the pair setting is perfo rmed must satisfy the following conditions. (i) The volume cap acities of MV and RV match.
Chapter 3 Replication Management 49 RV unmounted by the ReplicationControl function from a business server or back up server of Windows may be set in the Not Ready state. In this case, even if the synchronous state of the pair is “separated”, the RV mode is k ept in the Not Ready st ate.

Chapter 3 Replication Management 52 (iv) C opy Mode You can specify the cop y control state in Repl icate Execution and the Synchronous state at the same time as Replica te. The following copy modes can be specified. Radio Button Description Synchronous Changes the copy control state to the foreground copy (Synchronous) mode.
Chapter 3 Replication Management 53 (vi) The activity state of the pair of the specified MV and the pair ed upper MV is not in the Restore state. (vii) The activity s tate of the pair of the specified RV and the paired lo wer RV is not in the Restore state.

Chapter 3 Replication Management 76 Figure 3-34 is displayed when MV is not under the iSM. Figure 3-35 is displayed when RV is no t under the iSM. After execution, perform Forced Separate for MV or RV not separated .
Chapter 3 Replication Management 77 [Execution Conditions] To perform Forced Separate, the following conditions must be satisfied. (i) The target volume is recognized by Replica tion Management as the Replication target disk. (ii) The target MV and RV are paired, or one of them is forcibly separated.

Chapter 3 Replication Management 80 If Forced Unpair is performed fo r either MV or RV, the replic ation operations will not function properly because inconsistency occu rs in the reco gnized states of MV and RV. In this case , perform Forced Unpair for MV or RV for which Unpair is not performed.
Chapter 3 Replication Management 81 [Execution Conditions] To perform Forced Unpair, the following conditions must be satisfied. (i) The target volume is recognized by Replica tion Management as the Replication target disk. (ii) The target MV and RV are paired, or one of them is forcibly unpaired.

(i) The target disk array is recognized b y Replication Managem ent. (ii) The specified disk array is monitored. When you perform F reeze, no replication operations can b e performed in the disk arra y.
Chapter 3 Replication Management 84 (i) Background Copy Level Specifies the priority of copy operation when Background Copy is selected in Replicate and Restore. A higher priority results in faster copying for refl ecting difference. (For more information, refer to 2.

Chapter 3 Replication Management 86 (i) Disk Array Name Displays the name of the disk array where the volume exists. The disk arra y name of the selected volume is highlighted. (ii) Logical Disk Nu mber, Format, Logical Disk Nam e Displays them in the form of “(logical disk number) format :logical disk na me (or VAA)”.
Chapter 3 Replication Management 87 [Connection Display of Paired Volumes] Connections of volumes are displa yed as pip es as shown below. During copy operation, the color of th e original disk moves through the pipe.
Chapter 3 Replication Management 88 [Differential Quantity of Volume/Transfer Rate] Displays the amount of difference and transfer r ate during copy operation. The unit of the amount of difference is variable (e.g. KB, MB, GB), and th e unit of transfer rate is fixed (MB/S).
Chapter 3 Replication Management 89 In the pair connected by RemoteDataReplication, th e remote disk array is not managed by iSM or, in a monitoring stop, may be displayed like the above.
