3 General safety information Intended use The washer-dryer is designed for: – domestic use only. – machine-washable fabri cs in dete rgent solution and drying these fabri cs. – operation with cold drinking water and commercia lly available detergents and care products that are suitable for use in washing machines.
4 En vironmental protection/econom y tips – Separate out the variou s waste materials of the packaging and take them to th e neares t colle ction point. – Always fill the washer-dryer with the maximum load for the relevant programme. – Wash normally soiled laun dry without a prewash.
5 Y our new w asher -dr y er Description of the washer -dr yer The washer-dryer can be used in 3 ways –> page 15: – washing only – drying only – successive washing and drying. The successive wash-dry programme au tomatically shifts from the wash cycle to the dry cycle without further intervention.
6 Control panel Indicator lamp Indicates the setti ngs that have been selected fo r: – Temperature: Ž - 90°C. – Spin speed: $ - 1400 rpm. – Options/signal. Display panel Shows the settings that have been selected (e.g. spin speed, drying time), the progress of the current pr ogramme and the programme status.
7 Bef ore washing f or the first time Preparing and sor ting the laundr y The washer-dryer was tested before leaving the factory. To remove any wate r that may be left over from the test, do not load any laundry the firs t time that you run a wash programme.
8 Sorting laundr y for dr ying Only dry laundry that is l abelled "suitable for tumb le-drying" or which has the following care symbols: Do not wash the following fabrics i n the washer-dryer: –D o n o t m a c h i n e d r y laundry with the b care symbol.
9 Detergents and Care Products Detergent dr awer The detergent drawer is d ivided into three compartments Compartment I : detergent for pre-wash. Compartment II : detergent for main wash, Compartment i : Liquid additives, such as starch or fabric softener .
10 Normally soiled laundry Set the programme. Do not select T (Pre-wash) –> page 13. Add all the detergent, according to the manufacturer's instru ctions, to compartment II of the dete rgent drawer. Heavily soiled laundry Set the programme.
11 Programmes Programme selector The programme selector is used to set the washing and drying programmes. The time remaining until the end of the programme and the Beladungsmenge (Load) are sh own on the display panel.
12 W ashing programmes* * depends on the model Sensitive s For washing fabric s with increas ed hygiene re quirements o r those that w ill be used by aller gy sufferers. The temperature re mains constant during the washing proce ss. More in tensive rinsing with incr eased water level.
13 W ashing and dr ying options T emperature p button The temperature can be a djusted individually for each programme. To adjust it, press the p (Temperature) button repeatedly until the required temperature is displayed. Spin speed button B The spin speed can be individually adjusted for each progr amme.
14 5 (Dr ying) button The drying prog rammes –> page 12 can be individually ada pted by selecting the drying options. – Press the 5 (Drying) button repeatedly unt il the required drying opti on is shown on the display panel. – To deactivate, pr ess the 5 (Drying) button repeatedly until is shown on the display.
15 W ashing and dr ying W ashing only Turn the programme selector to the desired programme, e.g. D Cottons (Cottons/Colou reds) 60°C . – The display panel alternately shows 2 (Remaining time) and the recommended load in kg . The % symbol fla shes.
16 End of the programme The washing and dr ying programme s are ended automatica lly. appears on the disp lay panel. Turn the programme selector to $ (Off) . Remove the washing from the dr um. Leave the door open to allow the inside o f the washer-dryer to dr y out.
17 Cleaning and care Safety information Risk of electric shock You must disconnect the appliance fr om the mains first. Never clean the washer-dryer with a water jet. Risk of explosion. Never clean the washer-d ryer with solvents. Risk of scalding Hot washing water must be cooled before Draining.
18 Drain pump Take the Drain hose out of the retainer. Remove the plug from the Drain hose and release the was hing water. – The container for the Drained water may have to be empti ed several times. – When no more water runs out, replace the plug.
19 What t o do if... Risk of electric shock. Repairs must only be carried out by customer services or autho rised technicians. If repairs are needed, or if you cannot rectify a fault yourself wi th the help of the fo llowing table: Set the programme selector to $ (Off) .
20 Water is not flowing in. The mains plug is not correctly plugged in. Plug in the mains plug correctly. The door is not prop erly closed. Close the door. The tap is not turned on. Turn on the tap. The filter in the wa ter supply hose is blocked. Clean the filt er in th e water supply hose –> page 18.
21 Programme terminated unexpected ly. The A ( Start/ Pause) button was selected accidentally. Press the button again to restart the programme. Drying result not satisfactory . The laundry clings to the sides of the drum after being spun. Loosen up the laund ry by hand; start the drying programme –> page 15.
22 Af ter -sales ser v ice Before you call the a fter-sales service, please check whether you can cor- rect the fault yourself –> page 19. You will be charged if a techni cian is called out, even during th e warranty period.
23 Installation instructions Safety information The washer-dryer is very heavy. Take care when lifting it. Do not operate the washer-dryer if it has any visible damage. If you are in any doubt, please consult our afte r-sales service or your retailer.
24 Remo ving the transp or t safety bolts Unscrew all four screws using the spanner supplied. Remove all 4 transp ort safety bolts completely and take the mains cable out of the retainers.
25 Lev elling Intense noise, vibrations and “wandering” may be the result of incorrect levelling. – All four appliance feet must stand firmly on the ground. – The washer-dryer must not wobble. – Check the levelness of the washer-dry er with a spirit level and correct if necessary.
26 W ater connection To prevent leaks or water damage, you must observe the instructions in this section. If in doubt, have a technician connect the appliance. The water supply and Dr ain hoses can be routed to the left of righ t, depending on installation conditions.
27 Electrical connection The washer-dryer must o nly be connected to an alternati ng current supply via a properly insta lled earthed socket. If a residual current circuit breaker is used, only use a type which displays this symbol: ‚ . Only this symbol guarant ees compliance with th e cu rrently appl icable regulations.
28 T able of programmes Observe the information on care labels, fabric type and load quan tity . In order to select the most suitable programme for the l aundry, observe the information on the labels that are atta ched to most items.
