Figure 3 FIREBOX CLEARANCES The firebox may be placed dire ctly on a combustible floor, against a combustible wall at m arked clearances, or on a raised wooden platform. If the firebox is to b e installed on a raised wood en platform, the platform m ust be a continuous level surface.
FINISHING YOUR FIREBOX There is a wide variety of finishing material available for your firebox from formal wall treatments with m arble and mantels, to rustic wood paneling, stone or brick. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BLACK FACE OF THE FIREBOX NOT BE COVERED WITH ANY TYPE OF COMBUSTIBLE MATE RIAL.

INSTALLATION I NSTRUCTI ONS FOR MODEL ZCBB OPTIONAL WOODEN SURROUND (WS) (KIT# PAKDMZCBB) CLEARANCES: 1. Sidewall Clearances: Clearances from the side of the firebox opening to any adjacent combustible wall should not be less than 7". See Figure 4 2.
REAR VIEW After assembling the WS you must insert the ZCBB. It is best to insert the ZCBB from the rear of the WS, this gives you more area to hold the ZCBB and re duces the risk of scratc hing the surface of the front area of the base (hea rth) area.
This section is used for residential inst allation or mobile home installation. UNCONFINED SPACE: An unconfined space has a minimum air volume of 50 cubic feet for each 1,000 BTU/Hr (4.8m 3 per Kw) input rating of all appliances in the space (Cubic feet equals L ength x Width x Height of space).

VENTILA TION AIR VENTILATION AIR FROM INSIDE BUILDING This fresh air would come from an adjoining unconf ined sp ace. When venting to an adjo ining space, you must provide two permanent openings: one within 12" of the ceiling and one within 12" of the floor on the wall connecting the two spaces (see Options 1 and 2, Figure 6).

OPTIONAL BLOWER INST ALLA TION The Model ZCBB has an optional MA ZCBB714 blow er kit that can be purchased from your dealer. You will need to follow these steps and the di agram below and the wiring diagram on page 18.
