NILES AUDIO CORPORA TION – 1-800-BUY -HIFI 1 INTRODUCTION The Niles RCA-TT Remote Control Anywhere! Kit enables you to opera te your remote controlled audio/video equipment from virtually any loca tion.

Kit is compa tible with most brands of audio/video components, there are a few exceptions.
4 INST ALLA TION (CONTINUED) STEP 1 – PLACING THE CONNECTION HUB Place the Connection Hub so that the MicroFlasher wires will reach the components. Never place the connection hub c loser than 1’ a way from a television set ( Figure 1 ) .

6 INST ALLA TION (CONTINUED) STEP 3 – CONNECTING THE SENSOR CABLE TO THE T ABLE-TOP SENSOR Pull out the removable connector from the bottom of the table-top sensor . Insert each wire into the appropria te hole on the removable connector plug ( Figure 3 ), and snap the locking tab down.

8 INST ALLA TION (CONTINUED) STEP 5 – MOUNTING A MICROFLASHER TO A/V COMPONENTS Make sure all of your remote controls have ba tteries and that they are able to operate the A/V com- ponents. Locate a place for the remote control tha t is within arm’ s length of the A/V components, yet cannot directly control them.

12 INST ALLA TION (CONTINUED) STEP 8 – RECONNECTING THE CONNECTION HUB Reconnect the sensor plug, flashers and power supply as outlined in steps 2, 3 and 4 ( Figure 11 ). That’ s it! No w you are ready to control your audio/video equipment from the room you chose.

If construction forces a side by side run for more than ten feet, install metal conduit or shielded sensor cable.
16 INST ALLA TION (CONTINUED) PULLING THE CABLE Whenever you run the cable farther than 4-1/2 feet from a hole in a stud or joist (open attic space, going up walls, etc.), fasten the cable to the joists or studs using cable c lamps or a ppropriately sized cable staples.

18 INST ALLA TION CONTINUED When you don’t have access above or belo w the wall, try to estima te the existing cable and pipe locations from the positions of electrical outlets and plumbing fixtures on both sides of the wall.
