About the IP Phone 2001 14 Call features and Flexible Feature Codes System administration is required for call features and Flexible Featur e Codes (FFCs). Contact your system a dministrator to configur e these features and codes o n your telephone. Call features and FFCs must be assigned to your telephone an d supported by system software.

To choose a lang uage, press the Services key and select Language… from the Tele phone Option menu. To select a languag e: 1. Press th e Navigation keys to scroll and highlight the desired language (for example, German [D eutsche]) .

Configure options on the IP Phone 2001 27 Select Local DialPad Tone The Local DialPad Tone op tion enables a pressed telephone dial key to produce Dual Tone Multi-F requency (DTMF) sounds, a single tone, or n o sound. To choose a local dialpad tone, press the Services key and select Local DialPad Tone from the Telephone Option menu .

To choose a ri ng type, press th e Services key and select Ring type… from the Telephone Option menu. To choose a ring type: 1. Press the Navigation keys to scroll and highlight one of the ring types.

Make a call 30 Make a call This section describ es features asso ciated with making a call. There are several ways to make a call from an IP Phone 2001. Use Off-hook dialing Use On-hook dialing 1. Lift the handset. 2. Dial the number. or 3. To terminate the call, choose one of the following: — Replace the handset into the cradle.

Using Ca ll Park does not tie up a line and, when configured network-wide, can be used acro ss networks. A System Park Extension can be set to automatically park most calls.

Use Call Forward Use the Call Forward featur e to direct incoming calls to ri ng on another line (DN). If the telephone is in the process of rin ging, that call cannot be forwarded.
