3 G B I MPORTANT N OTES Please carefully read through these operating instructions , keep it for future reference and also make it availabl e to others. Training This product is not a therapeutic device. It i s a training instrument, which was developed for th e measurement and repr esentation of the human heart rate.
4 Application The device is only intended fo r private use. This device may only be used for the purpose it was designed for an d in the manner outli ned in this oper atin g instructions. Any f orm of im- proper use can be dangerous. T he manufacturer is not lia ble for dam- ages that are caused by improper or incorrect use.
5 G B Repairs may only be conducted by cust omer service or author ized dealers. Please do not in any case attempt to repair the device ! Use the device only i n combination with the accessori es provided with it. Avoid contact with sunscreen or t he l ike since these can c ause dam- age to the imprint or plastic components.
6 G ENERAL I NFORMATION FOR T RAINING This heart rate monitor serves to measure t he human pulse. By means of various settings, you can s upport your individu al training program an d monitor your pulse.

8 G ETTING STARTED Putting on the heart rate monitor You can wear your heart rate monitor lik e a wrist watch. Activating the HR watch from transport mode Press the buttons SET/MENU and ST ART/STOP simultaneously to activate the HR monitor from the transport mode.

LOW indicates the lo wer training limit, HIGH the upper training limit.
11 G B Power saving mode If your heart rate monitor has not r eceived any s ignal for approx. 2 minutes, it switches to the power saving mode. Only the current time will then be displa yed. Press the ST ART/ST OP button to reactivate the HR moni- tor.
12 Switch the acoustic alarm on or off when leaving the training zone and when pressing a button. To change the settings in the setting menu proceed as follo ws: You are in the training menu. Your t raining time displays 00:00:00 . Press the SET/MENU button for 5 seconds.
13 G B SET/MENU Set training zone Hi Lim (High Limit) is displaye d. You can change the up per pulse limit (41-239) of the automaticall y calculated training zone with ST ART/ST OP . SET/MENU Lo Lim (Low Limit) is displaye d. You can change the lo wer pulse lime (40-238) of the automaticall y calculated training zone with ST ART/ST OP .

15 G B T RAINING RECORDING Overvie w In the training menu you can: Stop your run times. Display your traini ng data. Delete all recordings. As soon as you are in the training menu, the training time already recorded will be displ ayed in the top line (after deletion: 00:00:0 0) and your current puls e in the bottom line.
16 Start and stop run times If you have already stoppe d a run time, the recorded training time is displayed in the top lin e. ST ART/STOP Start the recording.
17 G B Display 2: Top line = Maximum training hear t rate HRmax ; Bottom line = Average training heart rate AV G Display 3: Top line = Fat burning [g] ; Bottom line = T otal calorie consump- tion [kcal] The calculation of the tot al calorie consumption is co n- ducted based on moderately fast jogging.
