This can be set only when the mode dial is set to f . • By switching to another scene, most settings will b e changed to the default settings of each scene.
Menu operations 22 EN When activated [ON], the camera will record about 4 seconds of audio after the pi cture is taken. When recording, aim the camera microphon e at the source of the sound you want to record. Panorama shooting let s you create a panoramic picture, using the OLYMP US Master software on the provided CD-ROM.

All existing data, including prot ecte d pictures, are erased when t he intern al memory or card is formatted (images regist ered to “My Favorite” are not erased). Make sure that you save or transfer important data to a computer before formatting.
Menu operations 28 EN The pixel mapping feature allows the came ra to check an d adjust the CCD and image processing functions. It is no t necessary to operate this f unction f requently. Approximately once a year is recommen ded. Wait at least o ne minute after taking or viewin g pictures to allow the pixel mapping function to perform pr operly.
Menu operations EN 29 The date and time i s saved with each image and is used in th e file name. If the dat e and time are not set, the [ X ] screen is displayed each time the camera is tur ned on. To play back camera images on a TV, set the video output according to your TV’s video signal type.

Appendix EN 47 Appendix Exterior: • W ipe gently with a soft cloth. If the camera is very dirty, soak the cloth in mild soapy water and wring well. Wipe the camera with the damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth. If you have used the camera at the beach, use a cloth soaked in clean water and wrung well.
