11 of 72 Basic Steps to Install 1. Connect the output plug of t he ma ins adaptor to the socket on the back of the base unit and the mains adaptor to the wall mains supply. 2. 17 of 72 Using Pre-Diall i ng You can enter a telephone numb er and verify it on the display before you place the call. • Use the keypad to enter the ph one n umber. The display shows the digits as you e nter th em. • If more than 16 digits are entered, the icon will be turned on.

The display reads NAME? or the name of the CID (transmitted from the network or fro m the phonebook). • Use the numeric keys and to enter or edit the name for the entry.
33 of 72 Answering Mode There are two modes availab le to a nswer an incoming call when the answering mach ine is on. When the answering machine is in Answer and Record (ANS RECORD) mode, t he an sweri ng machine will allow the caller to leave a message after OGM1 is play ed.
