1 • The ear piece of the handset ma y attract small metal objects such as staples and pins. Care should be taken when placing the handset near these items. • This telephone is not designed for making emergency telephone calls when the mains power f ails.
2 Installation and Charger 1. Connectthe mainsadaptor( supplied) to the sock et on the bac k of the base unit and to the wall mains supply . 2 . Connect the telephone cord to the phone sock et on the back of the base unit and into the wall phone soc ket.

19 ANSWERING MAChINE OpERA TION (ECO700 ONL Y) Erasing the Outgoing Message Erase the outgoing message as f ollows: • Select the desired outgoing message by pressing and holdthe[ ] ke y . • Pressthe[ ] ke y to play the outgoing message.
