-Operation- 1 General Information Warnings • The telephone is designed for indoor use only. Do not install the telephone in areas where there is the risk of an explosion, excessive ex posure to smoke, dust, vibrations, chemicals, moisture and heat.
-Operation- Cleaning and care The surface of the case can be cleaned with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. Never use cleaning agents, par ticularly aggressive solvents. Apart from occ asional cleaning of the case, no other care is necessary. Th e rubber feet of the base station are not resistant to all cle aning agents.

-Operation- 3 Installation 3.1 Safety information NOTE! Before ins tallation, it is e ssential that yo u read the general inform ation at the beginning of this user guide.
-Operation- 3.4 Connecting the telephon e handset After unpacking your te lephone, you must first co nnect the telephone han dset to the base unit . First take the shor t end of the curly cord and plug i t into the socket on the handset.
-Operation- 3.8 Fitting the desk support If you intend to use your te lephone on a desk, then the desk suppor t supplied must be fitted. To do this, turn the telephone over. Now inser t the two upper hooks into the openings provided and push the desk suppo rt firmly home.
-Operation- 3.11 Setting the time/date If you want to reset the time or chan ge a time already en tered, proceed as follows: 1. Press the DIAL/MENU button for 3 seconds. The displa y shows “OPTIONS cd ”. 2. Press the c buttons until the display shows “TIME/ DATE”.
-Operation- 3.14 Last Number Redial If a connection tha t you have dialled is engaged or you were unable to get through, simply replac e the receiver. The last number dia lled will be saved in the telephone auto matically. To use the redial fac ility, proceed as follows: 1.
-Operation- B: Making a call using the handsfree facili ty 1. Press the handsfree but ton . The LED above the button will come on and you will hear the dial tone from the speaker. 2. Now dial the required te lephone number. Th e display shows the number dialled.
-Operation- E: Receiv ing Calls Calls can be accep ted either by using the receiver or by using the ha ndsfree facility. Lift the receiver or use the ha ndsfree facility by pr essing the handsfree button. To end the call, replace th e receiver or press the handsfree button .
-Operation- Note: If you enter the wrong number, yo u can use the CLEAR button to edit the number. 3. Now select a speed dial storage location by pressi ng MEMORY button and a number between 0 and 9 on the number pa d. Tip! To erase a stored number si mply store a new number in the storage locatio n that you want to erase.
-Operation- 5.5 Making a call using the speed dial button s 1. Lift the receiver or press the handsfree button . 2. Press the MEMORY butto n 3. Now press the required stora ge location between 0 and 9 on the keypad. The stored number will now be dial led automatically.
-Operation- This indicat ion in the display show s that there is a total o f 34 calls in the call er list. There are 5 new calls in t he caller list that have not yet be en checked. In addition, when there are new call s, the NEW Call indicator flashe s.
-Operation- 6.4 Select La nguage ENGLISH, FRANCAIS, ESP ANOL, DEUTSCH, ITALIANO, PORTUGUES, TURKISH , DANSK prompts for ca ller I.D. message di splay can b e selected. Please proceed as follows: 1. Press the DIAL/MENU button for 3 seconds. The displa y shows “OPTIONS cd ”.
-Operation- 6.8 Deleting the enti re caller list 1. Press d or c button to displa y the caller list. 2. Press and hold CLEAR button for 5 seconds. Display shows “DEL ALL CALLS?” 3. Press CLEAR button again to confirm. 6.9 Dialling a telephone number di rectly from the Caller List You can dial telephone numbers directly from the c aller list.
-Operation- 7 Using phone on a PBX (phone System) 7.1 Pause function when using phone on a P BX Note! The pause function b etween the code for the outside lin e (usually 0 or 9) and the dialling tone describ ed in this ch apter is only necessary on older private exchanges.
-Operation- 8 Important Information 8.1 Troublesh ooting If you feel this product is not working co rrectly please consult th e user guide and ensure that you are u sing the product in accordance with the instructions. Remove all extra telephone eq uipment and connec t only this telepho ne directly to the telephon e socket.
