7 RQT9479 Positioning Getting St arted This unit comes equipped with a Dolby Virtual S peaker circuit installed. Using just the supplied s peakers and the su bwoofer , an d by reproducing acoustic effects very similar to 5.1ch/7.1ch surround, you can enjoy a true “home theater” experience even wit hin a limited spa ce.
8 RQT9479 S peaker connections Turn off all equipment before connection and r ead the a ppropriate operating instruc tions. Do not con nect the AC pow er supply co rd until all othe r connections are complete.
9 RQT9479 TV connections ≥ When connecting with the video cable, set “High Clarity Sound” in the on-screen menu to “Off” ( > 33). (Otherwise, the video will not be out put.) Optional connections ≥ For those who want to enjoy higher pict ure quality and have a TV equipped with an HDMI terminal.
10 RQT9479 Connections to a Set T op Box, etc. Use the following c onnections when you want to output the original surround audio from your Set T op Box, cable TV , VCR, DVD rec order , etc. through this unit’s speakers. ≥ Do not connect through the video cassette rec order .

16 RQT9479 Basic operations Instructions for operations are genera lly described using the remote contro l in these operating instruc tions. Preparation T urn on the TV and select the appropriate video input on the TV . 1 Press [ Í ] to turn on the unit.
