Y ou can operate this unit in another mode by setting t he remote control operating mode to “REMOTE 2”. The main unit and remote control must be set to the same mode.

6 RQT96 86 Prep aration ≥ T o prevent damage or scratches, lay dow n a soft cloth to assemble speakers. ≥ For assembly , use a Phillips-head screwdriver (not supplied). ≥ Y ou will need to obt ain the appropri ate screw eyes to match t he walls or pillars to which they are going to be fastened.
7 RQT96 86 Getting Started Quick Start Guide How you set up your speakers can af fect the bass and the sound field. Note the following point s: ≥ Place speakers on flat secure base s. ≥ Keep your speakers at least 10 mm aw ay from the syst em for proper ventilati on.
8 RQT96 86 ≥ T o listen to th e TV audio on the sound system, connect the opt ical digital audio ca ble, HDMI § cable or a udio cable. Refer to the operating instructi ons of the respective devices for the settings necessary to output the audio. § Only when connecting to an ARC comp atible TV .
9 RQT96 86 Getting Started Quick Start Guide Conserving power The main unit consumes a small amount of power , even when it is in standby mode (appr ox. 0.4 W). T o save power when the unit is not to be used for a long time, unplug it from the household mains socket.
