Handling Precautions for Tra v erse Deck The laser diode in the tra v erse deck (optical pickup) ma y break do w n due to potential difference caused b y static electricit y of clothes or human bod y. So, be careful of electrostatic breakdo w n during repair of the tra v erse deck (optical pickup).

Measurements and A djustments Note: A fter replacing the main components (optical pickup or tra v erse motor, etc.) of mechanism unit block, change to the adjust mode, and then perform the “Laser po w er adjustment”, “Off-set automatic adjustment” and “Pla y back-onl y disc/ magneto-optical disc automatic adjustment”.
