6 Safety Precautions If problems occur during use If a problem occurs (such as no picture or no sound), or if smoke or an abnormal odour starts to come out from the Plasma TV , immediately unplug the mains plug from the mains outlet. • If you continue to use the Plasma TV in this condition, fire or electric shock could result.

Q-Link connection of Plasma TV , VCR/DVD recorder and Satellite Receiver using Scart and RF cables For Q-Link to function correctly this set, VCR and Satellite Receiver must be connected as shown in the diagram below . RF connections • Connect an RF cable to the Antenna Input terminal of the Satellite Receiver .
11 Cable fixing band – Cable fixing bands Secure any excess cables with bands as required. T o secure cables connected to T erminals, wrap the cable fixing band around them then pass the pointed end through the locking block, as shown in the figure.

17 Press to move the cursor up and down on the menu. Press to access menus, adjust levels or to select from a range of options. The STR button is used with a number of features to store settings after adjustments have been made or options have been set.

19 2 Press to start Auto setup tuning, then the Searching screen will be displayed. When Searching is complete the screen will return to the T urning menu screen. The best tuning position is automatically memorized. Once this operation is completed the TV will display programme position 1.
20 1 Press to display the Setup menu screen. 2 Press to select the T uning menu. Press to Access the Tuning menu. 3 Press to select the menu to adjust.
21 1 Press to select the Manual tuning. Press to access the Manual tuning screen. 2 Press to select the desired Programme Number . Press to search the higher or lower channel. 3 When the desired station is found, press to store. The programme position will flash.
22 5 Switch TV off. The next time the TV set is switched on Auto setup will begin, stations will be located, sorted and stored ready for use (see page 13). 1 Press to select the T uning menu. Press to access to tuning menu. 2 Press to select the Shipping condition.

25 Setup menu Do not display a picture in 4:3, 14:9 mode for an extended period, as this can cause an after-image to remain on the side panels either side of the display field. T o prevent the appearance of such an after-image, illuminate the side panels.
26 Aspect Controls Press the ASPECT ASPECT to move through the seven aspect options: Panasonic Auto, 16:9, 14:9, 4:3, Zoom1, Zoom2 and Zoom3. Notes: • If, in Panasonic Auto mode, you experience prob.
27 4:3 4:3 will display a 4:3 picture at its standard 4:3 size without any stretching. Gray stripes will be visible down the left and right sides of the picture. Aspect Controls 16:9 16:9 will display the picture at its maximum size but with slight stretching.
28 Sound menu 1 Press to display the sound menu screen. 2 Press to select the menu to adjust. Adjust the desired level by listening to the sound. Press TV/A V at any time to go back to watching TV . Some features are only available with the Ambience feature switched off.

35 T uning your VCR and satellite receiver Y our new TV is supplied with programme position ‘ 0 ’ set to receive an RF signal from your VCR, although a Scart connection is preferable if the VCR is so equipped (see page 9, 10 or 45 for suitable inputs to the Scart socket on this set.

37 Channel Search Select the desired channel after displaying still pictures of all stored channels on the screen divided into 9 sections. 39 T o delete an unwanted programme position 1 Ensure that the cursor is in the Prog. Column. 2 Choose the programme position. 3 Press the Red button on remote control. 4 Press the Red button again to confirm. 5 If you have finished in the Programme edit menu, press the TV/A V button to exit.
40 T o move a programme to another position 1 Choose the programme position to be moved. 2 Press the Y ellow button on remote control. 3 Choose new positon. 4 Press the Y ellow button again to confirm. 5 If you have finished in the Programme edit menu, press the TV/A V button to exit.
41 Programme edit T o lock a programme position to prevent access 1 Choose the programme position to be locked. Move to the lock column. 2 Choose between lock On or lock Off. 3 Press STR to store. 4 If you have finished in the Programme edit menu, press the TV/A V button to exit.
42 TELETEXT Operation • T eletext features may vary depending on the Broadcasting Companies and is only available if the channel selected is transmitting T eletext. • Pressing the Picture button whilst in T eletext operation will display the contrast function with a cyan bar , press or to alter the setting as required.
43 List Store In List mode the four page numbers can be altered (programme positions 1 - 25 only). T o do this, press one of the four coloured buttons and enter the new page number . Press and hold STR , the page number will change to white indicating that the page is stored.
