14 Auto setup automatic ally retunes your TV . This feature is useful if, for example, you move house and wish to retune your TV to receive the local stations .

17 4:3 4:3 will dis play a 4 :3 picture at its standard 4: 3 size without any stretching. Black stripes will be visible down the left and right sides of the picture. Zoom Zoom mode magnifies the ce ntral section of the picture. Press the red or green buttons to enlarge the picture vertically .
18 Press the MUL TI WINDOW button (whilst the on screen selector keys are on screen) to move between watching the current programme, the picture in picture feature, p icture out of picture and picture and picture feature.
19 Press the CH SEA RCH button to show freeze - - - frames o f the p rogrammes being broadcast on all of the stored channels. These images are displayed in series clockwise around the edge of the screen , starting from the top left. The current programme is dis played in the centre of the screen, still p laying.

21 The Remote Contr ol is capable of operating some functions of selec ted Panas onic VCRs and DVD (D igital V ersatile Disc) equipment. Some V CR and DVD equipment have different func tions, so to ensure compatibility please refer t o the equipment’s instruct ion book or consult your dealer for det ails.
22 D T eletext features may vary depending on the Broadcasting Companies and is only available if the c hannel selected is transmitting T eletext. 26 With a DTS / Dolby Digital input or if Pro Logic is selected in Surround mode , the following three modes of operation are available as the Speaker setting : Norm al , Phantom , 3S t e r e o . If front and rear speakers are connected, use Normal m ode.
27 It is possible to connect a variety of additional equipment to this TV . The following pages detail how to connect external equipment to both the front an d rear of the TV .
28 Rear sockets Additional equipment can be connected at the rear of the TV via three 21 pin Scart sockets, AV1 / AV2(S) / AV4(S), and via two d igital audio sockets (one optic al input for AV1 only and one shared optical/coaxial input for A V2, AV3 and AV4).
29 The external speaker connections ( EXT ) on the rear of the TV allo w you to create your own system using external speakers. Connections are provided for front and rear speakers.
30 The AUDIO OU T sockets on the rear of the TV allow you to create a custom s ound system us ing an external amplifier and ext ernal speakers. Y ou may decide, for e xample, to use an exter nal DTS /.
