10 C3662M (6/08) The server is the center piece of a DS system. Sepa rate V AUs ca n connect to the serve r through a switch. The server stores larg e amounts of video on the optional VSA N storage unit. An option al RS-232 trigger input fro m an access control syste m and a digital I/O pane l can also be connected to the server .

Pelco recommends using storag e solutions that are ba sed on a Windows o perating system such as Windows Server 2003 or Windows XPe runn ing NTFS.
