24 2 Getting Started Attach ing th e Str ap 1 Pass the end of the strap through the strap lug, then secure on t he inside of the clasp. 2 Pass the other end of t he strap through the other str ap lug on the camera, t hen secure on t he inside of the clasp.

28 2 Getting Started We rec ommend using the AC ada pter D -AC10 (o ptional) when u sing the LCD monito r for a l ong time o r when conne cting to y our PC. 1 Make sure the camera is turned off befor e opening the terminal cover. 2 Connect the DC terminal on the AC adapter to the DC input term ina l on th e cam era .
29 2 Getting Started Inserting/Removing the SD Memory Car d Captured images are r ecorded on the SD Memory Card. Make sur e the camera is turned off before ins erti ng or removing the SD Memory Card (market product). 1 Press the card cover unlock lever in the indicat ed direction.

Move the main s witch to [OFF] position to turn off the camera. • Always turn the camera o ff when not in use. • The power will auto matically turn off wh en you do not perform any o perations within a se t period of time.

3 Basic Operations This chapter explai ns basic operati ons for shooting by setting mode dial to Pic ture mode (Auto Picture or Normal mode - Flash OFF mode) to ensure successf ul capturing. For information about advanced functions and settings for taking pi ctures, refer to chapter 4 and onward.

The beep is heard and the rate increases. The shutter wil l be released about 12 seconds after the shutter release button is pressed fully .

89 3 Basic Op erations 3 Choose the number of copies and whether to impri nt the date or not. The number of copies and the date setting that you choose apply to all of the images. Refer to Steps 4 and 5 of “Printing Single Images” (p.87) for details on how to make the settings.
