Depending on your service , y ou may see the caller’ s number , or the caller’ s name and number . This pr oduct can provide information onl y if both you and the caller are in ar eas offering Caller ID service , and if both telephone companies use compatible equipment.

Y ou can keep the battery charged by return- ing the cordless handset to the base or charger after each use.

31 Appendix T r oubleshooting OTHER HANDSET ON (and then) OR OUT OF RANGE displays on my cordless hand- set. • Only one handset can be used to make or answer a call anytime. If another handset attempt to do so, the screen will display OTHER HANDSET ON and then OR OUT OF RANGE.
32 Appendix T r oubleshooting I get noise, static, or weak signal even when I’m near the base. • Other cordless phones and 802.11 wir eless routers that are used for home computer networks both use internal radios to communicate. The radios may interfere with one another .
33 Appendix T r oubleshooting My cordless handset does not ring when I receive a call. • Make sure that the ringer is not turned off. Refer to the section(s) on ringer selection in this user’ s manual. • Make sure the telephone line cord is plugged secur ely into the base unit and the telephone jack.
