1 light status Red On when the headset is charging in the headset charger . Flashes every 10 seconds to indicat e the battery is low when the headset is not in the headset charger . Flashes three times to indicat e the headset is powering off. • • • Blue On when a fully charged and r egistered headset is in the headset charger .
2 Getting st arted V OL +/ V OL - Push the volume switch on the headset to the right or left to adjust the headset ringer volume while in idle mode or the listening volume while on a call. Earpiece Micr ophone The microphone incorporates noise canceling technology for clearer calls.
3 Getting st arted One short beep Headset key t one. • One short beep every 30 seconds Muted headset microphone al ert tone. • Two beeps Error alert tone. The ringer volume is at its lowest set ting. The listening volume is at its highest or lowest setting.

6 Getting st arted Bat t ery installation The battery is permanentl y attached to the bat tery compartment cover (known as the bat tery pack). Do not try to separat e them from each other . After installing the battery pack, char ge it for at least 15 minutes.
7 Getting st arted Bat t ery char ging and c onnecting char ger power After installing the battery , charge the headset by placing it in the magnetic charging mount as shown below. The light turns on when the headset is charging. IMPORT ANT INFORMA TION Use only the supplied rechar geable batt ery pack or replacement battery pack (model B T191665).
8 Getting st arted Add and r egister headsets Y ou must register your new TL7700 headset with a compatible A T&T DECT 6.0 telephone be fore use (see page 9).
9 Getting st arted R egi ster a head set to an AT&T DE CT co r dl ess tel epho ne base Make sur e the battery is pr operly installed in the headset (see page 6). The light on the headset flashes slowly in r ed and blue to indicate the headset is not r egistered.

11 Getting st arted Headset at tachments Earbud There ar e three sizes of earbuds pr ovided. The medium-sized earbud is already att ached to the headset. T o remov e the earbud from the headset earpiec e: Hold both sides of the earbud. T wist and pull the earbud until it separates fr om the earpiece.

13 Getting st arted Headset at tachments T o att ach the ear hook to the headset: Remove any headset at tachment (earbud ex cluded) connected to the headset earpiece. Insert the earpiece into the ear hook ring as shown in Figur e 3. Press the edge of the ear hook ring tow ards the earpiece until it clicks into place as shown in Figur e 4.

19 T r oubleshooting If you have difficulty with your telephone, please try the suggestions below . For customer service, visit our website at www .telephones.at t.com or call 1 (800) 222–3111 . In Canada, dial 1 (866) 288-4268 . My headset doesn’t work at all.
Appendix 20 If the previous suggestions do not work, disconnect the telephone base fr om the telephone jack and connect another phone to that jack. If there is no dial t one on that phone either , the problem is in y our wiring or local service. Contact your telephone servic e provider .
Appendix 21 Move the cor dless headset closer to the tel ephone base. Y ou might have moved out of r ange. Re set the he adse t. Pow er off the hea dse t an d t hen pow er i t o n. Other electronic pr oducts such as HAM radios and other DECT phones can cause interfer ence with your cor dless headset.
Appendix 22 • If other phones in your home or office are having the same problem, the pr oblem is in your wiring or local service. Cont act your telephone servic e provider (char ges may apply). I cannot hear a ring tone fr om the headset when there is an incoming call.
Appendix 23 • Test a working phone at the phone jack. If another phone has the same problem, ther e may be a probl em with the phone jack, wiring or service. Contact your t elephone service pro vider (charges may appl y). I hear other calls while using my headset.
Appendix 24 T r oubleshooting I cannot r egister the headset. Y ou must be using a compatible AT&T DE CT 6.0 telephone. Appendix 29 Important saf ety information Do not open or damage the batteries. R eleased electrol yte is corrosiv e and may cause injury to the eyes or skin. The electrol yte may be to xic if swallowed. Do not dispose of the batteries in a fir e. Check with local waste management codes f or special disposal instructions.
Appendix 30 Maint enance T aking care of y our headset Y our cordless headset contains sophisticat ed electronic parts, so it must be treated with car e. Avoid r ough treatment. Place the headset down gently . Save the original packing materials to pr otect your headset if you ever need t o ship it.
