8 Unpacking Open shi pping cont ainer and any s m aller bo x es and check for s hi pping dam age. Report any dam age immedi a t ely to y our d i stri butor and shippi ng agent. Do not discard any s hi pping m a t eri a l until t he p l aner is instal led and r unning properl y.

11 Conv erting fr o m 230 Volt to 460 Vo lt Consult the diagr ams on pages 54 and 55 for specif ic i n f ormation on t he f ollowing c hanges . 1. Di sconnect m achi ne fr o m pow er source. 2. Change the lead c onnecti ons to the m ain m o t or and to the t ab l e ho i s t m otor.

17 3. Loosen t he three sock et head cap scre ws (A, F igur e 15) beneat h the tabl e. 4. Pl ace a rod- like obj ect (such as a hex wrench) int o one of t he open hol es (B , Fi gure 15) and t urn the shaf t (C, Figur e 15) to r aise the tabl e until the gauge r eads the proper m easurem ent.

21 2. Operati o n Modes There are tw o base oper ating m odes – MANUAL and S INGLE. In MA NUAL m ode, the operator can raise or low er the table us i n g the Co ntroller keypad. In SINGLE mode, the tabl e w i ll m ove to the pre-set va l ue when you push t he “Table Up ” or “Tab l e Dow n” buttons on t he plan er’s con trol pane l .
22 SINGLE MODE In sing l e m ode, the device p erform s autom atic positioning o f the tab l e to t he programm ed target position. T he “Tab le Up” o r “T a ble Dow n” button on th e plane r should be p u shed and held; w hen the table ha s fully adj usted to the targ et pos ition, the table w i ll autom ati ca ll y stop i n position.

24 3. Fast P rogram (10 sets) To facil i tate frequent l y use d positions , such as different board th icknesses, the k eys 0 to 9 have assoc iated p reset target values. By p ressing one o f these keys, i ts ta rget v alue is loaded aut om ati cally, and th e posit ioning ca n be started im m edi ately.

W h en the C ontro ller starts the ta ble m ove m en t up or down, and the table does not m ove, or m oves w i th a spe ed lower than defined, i t stops t he m achine and disp lays: Pre ss to c lear.

32 13. IN /MM Conv e r sio n The dedic ated mm /inch key allow s for im m edi ate sw i tch of t he units betw een m i lli m eters and inches. The LE Ds on the k ey indicate the sel ect ed unit. Sw itchi n g between M M and INCHE S has no effect on the co ntrol funct i ons .
