1 INTRODUCTION This manual will familiarize you with the installation and u se of y ou r PRINCET ON VL1919 LCD Mon itor, Pl ease take the t ime to look through these instructions ev en if you are familiar wit h monitors. 3 IMPORT ANT INFORMA TION Note on monitor placement The setup locati on must not be ex tremely hot, co ld, humid or dusty . Heat and col d can impair the functionality of t he monitor . Humidity and dust can cause the monitor to fail. Don’t place the monitor near hea ters such as radiators or the li ke.
4 Note on resolution All resolutions p rovided by the graphics card that dev iate form the physical re solution of the panel are adjusted by interpolation.
5 UNP ACKING Carefully lift the monitor ou t of the packaging and make sure that all component s are included (see fig. 1). Save the original box and p acking material in case you ha ve to ship or transport the monitor . T o s et u p t he device, you must fit the moni to r base together .
6 ➧ Connecting the audio cable If your computer i s equipped with an audio output po rt, connect one end of the sound cab le to the audio Input connector of the monitor ( ① in fig. 3) and the other end to t he Line-Out connector of the computer . ➧ T o connect the monitor to the power source Connect the separate power cable ( ② in fig.
7 BASIC SETUP ➧ Automatic Image Adjustment Y ou can ad just the image settin gs (such as bri ghtness, contrast, image posit ion, phase, etc.) manually or b y using the LCD mon itor’s autom atic image adjustment fe ature. This will a djust the image paramete rs to their optimal settings fo r the current graphics mode.
8 4. Set the desired value using the OSD button < or > ( ① and ② in fig. 4) 5. The current settings are automa tically saved w hen you return to the prev ious level or ex it the OSD menu. Repeat steps 2–5 to make further adjustments as needed.

11 3.3 Preview of next menu level The OSD shows a preview to the options and se ttings of the next menu level if applicable. The active menu level show s a bright background [4] and a colored cursor bar [3] (see color table). The inactive menu level areas show the gray background [2].
12 3.7 Custom colour After Custom colour is selected, the 3 adjust bars for red, green an d blue are shown. SELECT button navigate between red, green and blue, w hile ▼ and ▲ buttons change the high lighted colour value.
13 3.8 Factory recall When selected 1 st time a confirmation dialog is shown: SELECT : S tart EXIT : Back After selected 2 nd time, this function sets ev ery option value to the factory -preset value. After factory recall is finished, th e OSD menu is closed and auto adjust is performed for the curr ent mode, excluding all 31 kHz modes.
14 TROUBLESHOOTING Blank Screen Power indicator is off Make s ure the power c able and the p ower adapter a re connected pro perly (see sect ion “Connecting ” ). Make s ure that the monit or was turned o n using the power s witch (see sectio n “ St a r t u p ” ).
